This credit line can be used to purchase items in their catalogs only.According to complaints received by the Bureau, the company is also sending notices to consumers stating they have been approved for a Platinum Credit Card with up to a $5,000 limit if they pay an advance fee of approximately $39.00. Consumers report that after sending in the requested fee they then receive a package from the company containing a catalog and their credit card, and then discover the card can only be used to order merchandise from the catalog.
