I placed my order on 09/05/2024 and it was delivered to the WRONG address on 09/21/2024 and NOWHERE on their website or during the order process does it state the the company has to use the billing address associated with your debit/credit card. When I received an email stating my order had shipped that's when I saw that my shipping address was changed also. So now I'm out almost $600.00 and someone somewhere has my package.Business response

Hello. As stated at the time of purchase, for security reasons and to prevent fraud, we only ship to billing addresses unless it is an FFL transfer item. Moriarti makes sure our potential clients understand our shipping terms and conditions in at least 4 instances :
At the time shipping address is filled out - a warning appears on top of page in red advising that billing and shipping must match unless it is an FFL transfer item
Terms and conditions - one has to check the box on agreeing to them before being able to place an order, a warning is also placed on top of page on billing and shipping details
Order confirmation email states our shipping terms
Shipment confirmation states our shipping terms
This is a very common practice in internet transactions to avoid potential fraud. This is done for your protection as well as ours.
In the future, if you let us know upfront on differences in addresses, we can accommodate with specific procedures put in place, but only if we know upfront.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!Initial Complaint

This complaint has no merit. You purchased an upper receiver in 458 socom caliber with ***** firearms barrel. You were numerously told how to adjust your lower receiver for the rifle to start functioning. Yet, you refuse to follow directions and blame Moriarti for malfunctions. You didn't buy a firearm from us. You bought an upper receiver. You must adjust your lower for the rifle to function. Failure to do so, will cause damage and hazard not only to rifle but to you and people around you. For all to see below, 20 messages of obnoxious behavior:

Comments: On May 11, 2024 I purchased a .458-socom-10.5-*****-upper-build-w-10-slim-mlok-rail. I added the bolt carrier group, lower parts kit, charge handle, and rail. It came as a complete assembled unit arriving on 6/21. This unit constantly fails to feed and fails to eject. Essentially, it does not work. I have tried nearly all commercial ammunition available in 458 SOCOM. I am absolutely dissatisfied and would like to return it for a refund.

Buffer weight is irrelevant. After a shot, the brass is jammed into the chamber so tight it needs to be mortared to be removed.
I am completely dissatisfied with this product. Are you refusing a return?

The brass is jammed so tight into the chamber after a shot that the **** of the rifle must be pounded on the ground to extract. After the extraction, the brass is scarred up, obviously due to incorrect machining of the chamber. The buffer does not scar the outside of the brass. Improper machining does.

Sir, with all due respect, you didn't purchase a pair of jeans to be dissatisfied with. You purchased a firearm component, a complete upper, which you must mate correctly for it to function properly. All our sales are final but in order to address warranty claim (repair and/or exchange), you need to provide us with necessary information, as requested earlier. Please contact us at a time when you are ready to proceed. Attached is our general terms which you had received with your purchase, the link below outlines our policies to which you had agreed prior and upon making your purchase. Thank you

Ill weigh the buffer and get back to you. But the weight of the buffer is unfounded.
After a shot, the cartridge is stuck in the action to the point that even mortaring the rifle will not always remove the case. This requires zero movement or operation from the buffer. This is quite obviously improper machining of the action.
Furthermore, it is not my responsibility to prove to you that your product is unacceptable. I will gladly send it to you and you can inspect it for yourself.
Please provide a return address.

HI *****. Thank you for this info. That's what we anticipated the issue was when you were describing the problem. You don't have enough power in your lower. For big bores, including 458 socom, you need 4.3 oz carbine buffer. We have it available here or you *** search by photo image to see on other suppliers to carry those. *************************************************************************************************************************
Please amend your lower with the heavier buffer weight as the use of 3oz AR15 buffer *** cause damage to your barrel and BCG. We recommend for you to clean it from any residue left before running it again with the correct set up.
Thank you and please keep us posted.

Im gonna get a 4.2 ounce buffer installed in this rifle and continue this complaint. This is absolutely absurd. A buffer is in no way responsible for stuck cartridges.
When a round is chambered and primer detonated, the brass is then frozen in the action. The bolt carrier group never moves, that buffer is never moved or actuated. When the bold carrier group is forced out of battery, the brass cartridges are scarred and deformed. It is so obvious that a child would know this has nothing to do with a buffer.
Please tell me what your next excuse is going to involve so that I can get that process started as well.
You are obviously playing a game and trying to avoid responsibility for defective and frankly dangerous parts.
Your reputation proceeds you in this matter. Ive had the unfortunate experience of researching your companies customer satisfaction.
This is a common instance where you sell unacceptable products and refuse any recourse based upon other parts required to complete the assembly. Youre playing the game of checking boxes for the benefit of a **** credit card dispute. Youre clearly banking on the credit card system not understanding how a rifle works.
I am in the process of contacting and gathering names of your other frauded customers. With todays Internet they are not hard to find. Once they are gathered we will move forward with my attorney. Fortunately, there is no retainer needed and no cost incurred unless we win our case.
I have unlimited resources and unlimited time. I have already ordered a replacement upper from Tromix and am making this my job to see to it that you are held accountable for what you were doing.

Educate yourself before using your firearm pausing danger for you and yourself. Good luck to you!
Sent by Copilot:
Using an incorrect buffer system in a .458 SOCOM rifle can lead to several issues:
Malfunctions: The rifle *** experience frequent jams, failures to feed, or failures to eject. This is because the buffer system plays a crucial role in the cycling of the action12.
Increased Wear and Tear: An improper buffer system can cause excessive wear on the bolt carrier group and other internal components, potentially leading to premature failure2.
Recoil Management: The .458 SOCOM is a powerful round, and an incorrect buffer system can result in poor recoil management, making the rifle harder to control and shoot accurately1.
Safety Concerns: In extreme cases, using an incorrect buffer system could lead to unsafe operating conditions, such as overpressure situations or parts breakage2.

I am rejecting this response because:Per vendors instruction a 4.2 ounce buffer was purchased and added. It resulted in catastrophic damage to the upper. Upper receiver, barrel, and, bolt are jammed and will not release.
Prior to this damage, I requested that this be returned and inspected and was denied. So I moved forward with the recommendation from the vendor. Now that this upper is damaged, I would like to return it.
Sincerely,

1. We recommended 4.3 buffer, not sure why you keep referring to buffer as 4.2, continuously
2. We advised you to cease using 3 oz buffer as it may lead to catastrophic damage to the upper, specifically BCG and Barrel
3. We can examine the upper, all prices could be found in the following link shall the technical inspection proof the user mishandling of the firearm: *******************************************************
Please follow the instructions carefully. We will need you to include your buffer and ammo used with your shipment, otherwise we will not be able to address your RMA. RMA form is attached.

- I previously contacted this company via phone and an actual person answered. Since placing a legit order, I have had zero answered calls. - Only after placing order did I receive the message that the order would take 2-4 business weeks to ship and receive package. However, it states that they immediately begin working on the order as soon as it is submitted and you can not alter or cancel the order at any time. Yet, 2-4 business weeks to ship? and receive?- There are several reviews that I saw after the order about horrible customer service and horrible shipping and delivery times. - It miraculously only took 1.7 seconds for them to deduct the purchase price out of our bank account.Business response

On 3-23-2023 I placed an online order with this company. I received the order 3-31-2023. I noticed a piece missing, a castle nut. I purchased the castle nut locally. On 4-1-2023, I sent an email stating my order was missing a castle nut. I was asked to send a picture of what arrived. I stated I had assembled everything, but was missing the castle nut. The response was again to send a picture. So I took the picture from their website and omitted the castle nut and sent back. The response was that I needed an actual picture of what I received. I stated that it was a picture of what I received and again I had assembled the contents and was not going to disassemble it to show what was missing when it was the castle nut. All I am looking for is to be sent the missing part I paid for.Business response
