    AngeTyler,
Your boat came in on July 5, 2022, needing an emergency haul out due to the vessel taking on water. Cay Marine hauled the boat and after removal of severe barnacle build up and years of neglect an inspection determined that both the port and starboard sterndrives were leaking, which caused broken bellows and missing clamps. When we informed you and your captain of the issue, we were told to ONLY repair what was necessary to make the boat run. We DID NOT rebuild the outdrives. We were not told to rebuild them, nor did we charge you for it. Upon removal of the ***** drives we advised you that both gimbal bearings were corroded / disintegrated and needed to be replaced. When your captain went to sea trial the boat, it was determined that the cable from throttle to the drive ( shifter cable ) was also corroded and broken. Your captain told us that they had just been changed 4 months earlier. Failure to maintain your vessel will cause these issues, as it's not unusual for the weakest link in the chain to break. In this case, that would be the shifter cable.
CAY MARINE always stands behind our work !  On July 25, 2022, at 12:07 pm we received a threatening text message from your captain regarding your invoice, " TELL CAY my offer is my offer. Otherwise, my attorney will be handling all communication further."  It is important that our customers are happy so to avoid conflict, so we accepted your offer of payment ,adjusted the invoice and released your boat to your captain. With that, we decided it wasn't in anyone's best interest to continue doing business with you.
On March 24, 2023, your Captain called CAY and told us that he wanted to bring the boat in so we could repair that same cable, we refused, due to your volatile and insatiable nature coupled with the fact that the shifter cable has now needed to be replaced 3 times in 12 months.
On April 4, 2023, your captain showed up at our office and we told him that we stand behind our decision NOT to allow the boat back.
In the 36 years of doing business, we have never turned away a customer. Considering your inaccurate, harassing, and malicious reviews on *********************** and Instagram, WE ARE EVEN MORE CONFIDENT IN OUR DECISION NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOU.
PICTURES ATTACHED ARE UPON DELIVERY TO OUR BOATYARD SHOWING THE TERRIBLE CONDITION OF THE VESSEL
