I bought some products from a salesman of Medicbeat Inc. at a conference in *******, ** on October 22. The purchase price was $1000 + $60tax. When I bought the items, there was one item (the most expensive item) that I was told was not available and would be shipped to me later. I waited over a week for it to come, but it never arrived, so I called to inquire. I spoke to **************** (the owner) and told him that I was upset that the item hadn't been shipped. He assured me that it was already in the mail. I doubted his words, and didn't appreciate doing business with a dishonest person, so I told him I no longer wanted the items I'd purchased. I wanted to return everything for a refund. He told me he has a "no refund" policy, so that wouldn't be possible. It was not disclosed that there was a "no refund" policy when I was making the purchase. I then told him that I will file a complaint with the people who held the conference and the Better Business Bureau if he didn't allow me to return the items for a refund. He then told me he doesn't respond to threats, but that he would get back to me. This conversation took place on Tuesday, Nov 1. **** never did get back to **** received the missing item by ***** on Friday, Nov 4, and it was postmarked as being sent on Wed, Nov 2, which means I was correct. He had never sent the missing item out previous to our conversation. This was very upsetting to me and at that point I decided I didn't want anything to do with this person or his products! After all, if he was willing to lie to me about the item he hadn't shipped, then if I would have a problem with the $1000 worth of products I'd purchased, would I get any help after the sale? I didn't want to have to deal with **************** ever again. I called the people from the conference immediately, and they told me they would log my complaint, and they actually refunded my ticket price for the conference as a good faith offer, since I'd been treated so poorly by one of their invited vendors. They also advised me to file a dispute with my credit card company (Amazon Chase) about the purchase, which I did immediately. The credit card company told me that the owner of Medicbeat would have 2 weeks to respond to the dispute, and in the mean time I should just hold on to the things I'd purchased to see if there was a response. The 2 weeks passed and there was no response, so I decided to return the entire purchase. At that point, I didn't want the products in my home anymore, and I figured there would be a better chance of a refund if I returned the items. I mailed out the items on Monday, Nov 21 and included $1000 in insurance, which cost me $44.60 at the ***** I got notification that the package was received and signed for, on Fri, Nov 25, at 11:59am.At this point, I have NOT gotten a response from ****************. I just checked my credit card account and to this date I have NOT received a refund either. My credit card company says the owner of the company has until the end of the January statement to respond, which I seriously doubt will happen. I included a letter in the return shipment explaining to **** that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau should he decide to ignore my request for a refund. And since his business isn't even a year old yet (he started it in January of 2022), I would think it would be best policy to take care of this quickly in order to avoid anything negative. It's now Thursday, December 8th (2 weeks since he received his products back). I am filing this complaint, so that any future customers will, at least, have something letting them know how the owner of this company treats his customers.
