I wish there were negative stars.. I rented from timberland apartments in 2022. It will forever be the worst place I ever lived. My kids did not play Outside ever. Due to the fact that there was drug paraphernalia on the ground in between gun shell casings. There was over 10 shootings in the 2 years that I lived there with multiple tenants vehicles getting shot up. I got 2 different $500 water bills. Due to falty pipes in my building management was well aware of it and did not compensate me a dime. Did I mention the homeless people that slapped in the Hallway of my building the worst part was the office management. I love how they tell you. They are trying to help you but yet never solve your issues.. It took me 2 years to leave. The reason why was because they were telling realtors that I was late on my rent when I in fact was not. The method of payment had changed multiple times while saying there. My history shows no late bees except for 2 times the entire time. I stayed there so if I was late. What *** then charged the $150 late fee? My rent went up over $500 every time we had to renew our lease, which we did not. We were charged $250 a month for a no lease signing fees. After all of this, they also wanted me to give a 30 day notice, which also caused me to lose yet another house and another $300 in application fees.As if that wasn't bad enough. All I want now from this horrible situation. Is my security deposit of **** dollars back. They literally could have moved new tenants in 30 minutes after I vacated the premises. I moved out in 10/2023. It's 02/2024. I shouldn't have to still be waiting on my deposit. I've contacted them numerous of times by phone, and in person to no avail. I deserve at least my security back if not compensation for paying almost **** a month to live in such horrible conditions! It's to the point I'm getting a lawyerReview from Edwina P

I never have felt more unsafe in a space that I live in my life. The blatant disregard for our health is absolutely heart breaking. On 10/16/23 there was a leak in the apartment above mine that ultimately caused flooding in the second bathroom and bedroom in my apartment. I was told that they would need to turn off my power due to water in the light fixtures. Because I work from home, this ended the remainder of my workday. Once they were able to get the water to stop pouring through the ceiling, they cleaned the towels and dried the floor, leaving the buckets in place to catch the residual water that was still coming out. I and my son then went to the office to advise manager ********* that the water damage was going to cause ****** and mold to set up and that because my son has asthma he would not be able to sleep in his room with that happening. She advised with no other questions asked that, If you feel like you cant stay there contact your renters insurance. I then told ********* that this is not the responsibility of my renters insurance because I am not talking about damages to our items but wet carpet and walls, she again told me to contact my renter insurance without trying to offer any assistance. The blatant disregard for our health is absolutely heart breaking. The fact the maintenance men were more empathetic than the apartment manager was mind blowing. I have reached out to Monument Real Estate Services a total of 10 times and sent an email through the provided option on the website on 10/18/23 but have yet to receive any sort of assistance. I am now in a position to move my child and myself somewhere else so that we can again be safe and healthy. This has been the worst most stressful living experience that I have ever had.Review from Brett M

Worst experience you could ever have during a move in situation. The leasing office is incompetent and the property manager lack professionalism and is painfully rude. I hope this review helps future tenants reconsider living and doing business with this property. The reviews online, via ********* apartments.com do not lie. Shady business practices and they do not use written communication unless you reach out first. They do not care about your housing situation and the property is rundown. I kindly request that you do your research. ************************************* is the property manager and she is very rude and does not understand how to run her property (you can tell based on the fact that of all the previous reviews.)Monument Real Estate Services, LLC Response

Worst property manager company ever. Was promised a renovated unit and in fact was it clearly not a renovated unit but a different floor plan. Had heating problems as well as banging heating pipes since the day I moved in going on three months now. There are no laundry facilities. The machine you use to put money on your card to use the washer and dryer is broken. They won't fix it. But advertise there are laundry facilities on site. There aren't any now. This needs to be fixed.Review from Cole S

I lived in parkside apartments for 5 years with my wife and never had any serious issues. Once we were moved out we were informed that we owed over $2,000 for damages to the apartment. Of the damages listed they claim they have to repaint the bathtub which should fall under normal wear and tear and the cost should not be passed onto us. Also they claim the walls were black which is also not true there was a small spot in a room and thats it. All the cleaning should be covered by the cleaning fee. It feels like they overcharge tenants hoping they wont dispute. When I was on the phone speaking with a women who claimed to be the regional manager she was extremely condescending and rude and told me to do whatever I want they have all the proof they need. If youre thinking about renting from them I strongly suggest to find somewhere else they dont have a single clue how to properly talk to people and are very shady.Customer Review Rating
