I recieved a text message from the **** ***** Collection Bureau about an unresolved payment to the West Florida Radiology Associates. The bill was $32 dollars for services on June 6th 2022. I have never received a bill from this company. I am also Active Duty military and all claims are processed through Tricare and promptly paid if necessary. I called the company and they are permanently closed. I contacted the West Florida Radiology center in Pensacola Fl to see if I had ever been seen. They have no records of me getting medical services through West Florida Radiology. I called 4 more hospitals in the area and none have a record of unpaid services during this time. I cannot get ahold of any billing department or medical records management department for this company and they are impacting my credit rating. I need to resolve this matter ASAP as I am changing duty stations and buying a new home.

Our apologies to Mr. ******.  We have contacted our collection service and they have been told to retract the collection notice and clear up the credit report.  We recently changed billing services and some items were not cleared up properly by the older service.  Please allow two to three weeks for the retraction to take place.

I received 100% Charity care from the Niceville *** **** ****** Hospital. I have mailed it at least twice to this company and they "never receive it". I took pictures at the post office with the postmarks on it. They said to fax it but they ONLY go to a location once a week on a Wednesday to retrieve faxes and then distribute them. I have received a final notice from them and I'm afraid after this point they will unlawfully send me to a collection agency. I will file a report with the Consumer Financial Protection Agency if they keep refusing and denying the letters. I will fax this one more time. They must reply to me and guarantee they have received and applied this charity care.

We apologize for any problems you had with our billing service.  We have instructed them to reduce your balance with us.  A new statement will be sent to you showing the reduction; please allow a week or two for this to occur.

I had a mammogram done at Santa Rosa Medical Facility in Milton, FL on 7/26/2021 and my insurance, BCBS pays 100 % and I have never gotten a bill before. I NEVER received a bill, phone call, etc. from West FL Radiology & Associates since 7/26/2021. On 1/9/2023, I received a notice form collections stating I owed $614 for the Doctor Deborah ******* and the mammogram. (I have perfect credit and don't want this to impact it.) I contacted my insurance and it is past the 365 days for them to pay the bill. This should have never happened. How can I pay a bill when I never received one and my insurance covers the cost always 100%. I have tried calling the West FL Radiology & Associates phone and no one answers. I will attempt to resolve this here before contacting an attorney.

We apologize for any frustration that Mr. **** has experienced with our billing service.  We contacted our billing service to review the patient's account and they have assured us that the claim has now been filed with the VA.  The patient is not responsible for any charges; they have flagged his account and will keep an eye on it.

Yesterday (March 21, 2022) I received a bill from a collection agency, stating that I owed West Florida Radiology Associates for five services, two of them dating back to April 2020. This is the first I'd ever heard of any of this, having never received a single bill in all this time, and more importantly, having NEVER HAD THESE SERVICES PERFORMED in the first place, with the exception of one on June 8 when I was in the hospital overnight for observation due to anaphylactic shock. That bill was paid as soon as it was received last summer. (But since the collection agency bill didn't state what services were provided, I don't know if that was paid to WFRA or not, without contacting my bank and getting the canceled check...my online bank statement history covers only last 90 days). Otherwise, I have never had anything done by WFRA or even ***** **** Medical Center except for June 8, 2021. Prior to that, I'd never even been there! From the complaints I've read that have been filed with the BBB against West Florida Radiology Associates, apparently there is a pattern of sending bills the (supposed) patient has never heard of directly to collections and/or conjuring up bills for services that were never provided. I, along with the others, DO NOT APPRECIATE my credit rating being toyed with by incompetent people, nor do I appreciate the stress of wasting hours of my time calling collection agencies, billing services, researching bank statements, etc. I'm requesting the BBB to help straighten out this imbroglio. Thank you. ****** ******

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/04) */ Our apologies to Ms. ****** for this misunderstanding. We contacted our billing service and found that their system shows three other accounts under the name of ****** ****** but with different dates of service and charge codes. We found the correct account, and have instructed our billing service to remove Ms. ******' address from the other three accounts. We have also instructed them to retrieve this account from collections; please allow a few weeks for this to clear. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/04/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Thank you to the BBB and to West Florida Radiology Associates for resolving this matter. I know that my name is a fairly common one, so I can understand the mistake. I'm relieved that the matter is cleared up. Thank you!

I am filing a complaint about the billing department of West Florida Radiology Associates. I started getting calls from a collections agency and inquired on who I owe money to. I got the information that it was a bill for a procedure on 9/1/2021 at Twin Cities Hospital. I was confused because I paid the bill that I got from the hospital on 9/29/2021, so I called the hospital billing. They referred me to Radiology billing since they apparently do their own billing. I never received any bills from the radiology department. I called and inquired about how it's possible that I hadn't seen a bill from them. The lady on a recorded line told me that they can't see anything else than my basic information since my bill has been sent off to collections. I asked what address they have on file for me and she told me my address with the wrong street number (2xxx). I said, that that explains why I didn't get any bills and told her my correct street address (4xxx). Then she said that I had misunderstood her and that she had told me the right street number in the first place. She referred me to collections. I called collections and they told me the street address they have on file (2xxx) - the wrong address. I never got any bills! This is not my fault. I called the radiology billing department back and asked for a supervisor. They told me that they the hospital sent them the correct street address and refused to deal with the complaint about their employee lying to me on the phone. The call to billing was on a recorded line - so please go and check. It is not okay that you lie to your customers and don't make things right. This should not show up on my credit report because of West Florida Radiology billing making a mistake. See the attached bill for the incorrect address in the actual bill. The upper address is correct because I told collections to correct it.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/16) */ We apologize for the confusion about the patient's address. Patient information comes to our billing service from the hospital; we now have the correct address in our system. We have instructed the billing service to be sure that all of this patient's accounts have the address noted above. We have also instructed them to retrieve the account from collections and to write it off; this may take a few weeks to clear. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/03/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
