Dear BBB representative:Similar to other complaints filed, I provided Raffa Group, LLC a deposit in January 2021 for the installation of a fence. While a permit was applied for, I was continuously stonewalled between the deposit in January *********************************** February ******************************************************************************************************* the beginning, it appeared feasible due to COVID; however, when I began to ask for proof that the materials were actually ordered and whether the materials had shipped, I was told that the information was not available. Eventually, the permit expired, there were more excuses about being out of the country, having COVID, etc. and finally when I started to ask for a refund on my deposit, my calls and messages stopped being returned. Even reaching out to the license holder at the time of signing my contract did not yield any results. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional, and I believe it constitutes a breach of contract. I am seeking assistance in recovering my deposit and holding them accountable for their actions.Needless to say, I do not recommend anyone do business with this or related entities or individuals outlined in multiple complaints and lawsuits: Raffa Group, LLC; *** Modify, LLC; ***************************; ***************************; *********************** (license holder).Thank you, ***********************

I hired this company to fix a drainage is***, pour a stamped sidewalk / patio and pour new concrete at the bottom of my driveway. He said it would take 3 ********* took him 3 weeks. At times he was unresponsive to text and calls. He told me it was because he was in jail. He had been arrested for violating a restraining order. The cracked my pool deck, broke my pool plumbing, put hole in pool screen, cracked my basket ball court, dumped gravel all over my yard, dug a giant hole for drainage dumped gravel into the whole and filled it without wrapping the gravel in drainage cloth, the ************ & paint all over the side of my home, when digging in my yard they buried part of my fence and took too much dirt from other areas leaving concrete base of fence exposed, they covered all of my grass with sand, they lied over and over about so much, they painted my sidewalk white (told me it would dry clear), they painted bottom of my driveway gray (told me it would dry clear). Their paint was peeling the day after they applied it. Their stamped concrete wasn't done correctly. The finishers complained about not having the proper tools to do the work. The concrete then poured cracked 2 days later right in front of my front door. They refused to give me their business insurance information so that I could call and file a claim. At the end the sales ********************* asked for final payment. I asked him to fix everything first then I would happily pay him. He threw a temper tantrum, tried to plug is ********************* into my power and chip sidewalk up. I wouldn't let him use our power. Then he went and jumped in wet concrete he had just poured to mess his own work up. Then he called the police and said I assaulted him and that he was injured. He wasn't aware that my wife had been recording everything from her cell phone. When they police arrived the watched the video, wrote a report, recommended that we *** him and mad him leave.

When searching for a company to replace our sidewalk, R&A Modify came up on ****. *************************** came to give us a quote for concrete work and said that while he was here, he could do a couple other projects we wanted done as well. He quoted us $8,500 for everything if we paid cash. There is too much to explain with the character count allotted by the BBB here in this box, so a formal letter with all information has been attached. Ultimately, not only was the entire job done incorrectly, poorly, and damage was done to our home during the process, but the business refuses to supply their insurance information to us at this point. We asked for them to fix our driveway approach (it had a huge hump that needed leveling) and they did it, but didnt line the new concrete up with the old, so it was shorter and not aligned. They brushed the concrete in the wrong direction where a truly licensed contractor would have known that. They were supposed to do a beige walkway and it came out white with paint peeling the very next day. They installed a French drain in our backyard incorrectly and refused to fix it, and during the process cracked all of our pool pipes causing a huge leak. They also exposed our fence posts during the process and told us to fix it or the fence would fall. Among various other mistakes along the way. Every time we addressed *************************** (the Vice President), he became irate, yelled at us, and refused to fix anything or do anything right by proper standards. This company should not have a business license. We actually found out that they have multiple licenses they operate under, assumingly from all the complaints against them. They are currently demanding final payment from us, but they damaged so much we cannot ethically pay them any more money, as we now need it for repairs and we are out all the money we paid them already ($6,500) and left needing to pay to have everything done right by someone else.

There were many issues at the beginning of our relationship, regarding getting supplies and actually installing our fence on the original timeline, but that isn't even my complaint, because I understand things happen that might be out of their control. My serious issue is that, only months after installation, one of our gates came apart (the vertical slats began to fall out of the frame pieces) due to wind. I began texting ****** (the owner) in April (it is now October!), with pictures and asking if they can come to repair the gate. We were told when we purchased the fence that there was a lifetime warranty, but were never provided any further information on this warranty. ****** continued to make excuses why they couldn't come repair our gate yet (waiting for supplies, etc.). Mind you, we have three dogs and now our backyard was technically not fenced in anymore (thanks to the broken gate). I continued to call, text, and email this company asking about repairing my gate. They started ignoring my correspondence. My most recent email was responded to by ****** saying my message has been BLOCKED. What kind of company blocks it's customers? I believe the lifetime warranty is provided through the fence manufacturer, but they didn't even provide me that information so I can't go through them either.Hurricane *** didn't hit us straight on thankfully, but the winds were strong enough to bring down our second gate on the other side of the house. So now, we have two holes in our backyard fence. This tells me that the installation must have been subpar. Details: Date of final transaction: May 26, 2021 Payment: $5,600

I entered into a contract with RAFA group LLC a year ago To take down a wooden fence and put up a metal Dura fence. We signed a contract that included a five year warranty. Two months later my phone started falling apart in multiple places. I reached out to him immediately and he kept promising that he would come out to fix the issues. He strung me along with one excuse after another until the point that I could no longer wait because it was approaching a year

Placed deposit (2250.00$) for new concrete work on 10/21/2021. Received many promises but have yet to see any work done. No return contact from the business since April 2022 despite numerous attempts to contact them. Would like my deposit back so I can find someone else to do the work.

On 3/15/2022 I paid Raffa Group LLC $7750 deposit (using my AMEX) for a contract for services to design and install a fence and two motorized electric gates for my circular driveway. The total contractual cost was $15K. The fence was installed 2 months later on 5/16 and $5000 was sent via Zelle (owner insisted on cash payment this time). At this time the 2 motors were not delivered or installed and the owner told me they were on order. He also gave me a cost for the remote entry pad system and asked for $4000 to purchase the equipment which would be installed along with the motors for the gates. I sent $4000 via Zelle on 5/26 to cover cost and installation. After that was received the owner has not delivered or installed the motors or the entry pad. The gates are not functional and the fence installation is incomplete. My calls go unanswered and texts and emails have been ignored. I have not received any response or updates for the past two months. Ive paid $16750 and the job is incomplete and the gates cant be opened and closed. I need assistance and appreciate your help.

Establish proposal/project with Raffa Group LLC on 4/5/2021 for *************** Fence with gates on each side of house cost $12,000. Deposit given $6000.... remaining balance to be paid when job finished. On 6/11/2021 proposal/project for 2 Driveways cost $8500. Deposit given $4500....remaining to be paid when job was finished. Permits were requested by Raffa representative and cost were paid immediately to not delay the project. Attempted to contact *************************** regarding the status of my proposal from July 2021 - March 2022 and received various excuses, delay in permit approvals, delay in materials, or materials stolen, been sick in hospital, just such unprofessional or unethical reasons that I would not expect to hear. In 3/2022 I contacted **** of ********** and was told I needed to request extension of the application that Raffa Group did not follow thro. on and that it was not abandoned and is being pursed in good faith. I did so and paid the fees. Finally, on 4/2022 ******* contacted and the fence and driveway project began. Motorized gate for one side of driveway was installed and informed I was told the driveway could not be finished until re-grassing around driveway was complete. Informed him when done and will return to finish. Last verbal contact with *************************** was 6/10/22. He indicate he was out of town and would contact me when we returns on 6/14/22 to discuss my issue with the driveway gate and the finishing of the driveway. Thus far no contact, no response to my numerous voice messages to his cellphone and business number. I paid a balance of ****** to ***************************/*************************** on 5/18/22 for the fence, gates, driveway(not finished), $1450 for a motor for the driveway, and $800 for removal/debris of old gates. I need to know my alternatives.
