Beware of Breeze Thru Rescreen. On October 10th, I accepted an estimate from a contractor to repair the damaged screens in our pool cage and lanai. The contractor quoted the estimate to be around $1,800, but said, he couldnt do the job until the middle of December. I accepted his quote. On Sunday, October 16, ******* from Breeze Thru Rescreen stopped his truck in front of my house where I was trimming some shrubs to discuss replacement of my screens. I told him, I was all set and did not need any more estimates. He insisted that he have the opportunity to provide me with an estimate. We went to the back of my yard where he quickly looked around my pool cage and said he could do the job for less, and that he could do it within 2-3 weeks. He convinced me cancel the other contractor and wrote up and signed an estimate for $1,600. After not showing up on three different occasions, this morning, which will the 4th, he called and told me he would not do the job for less than $3,500. When it is all said and done, I believe he took advantage of me because I am a 70 year old woman. He had me in tears when I hung up. I am now in the process of finding another contractor. ***

*****************, we at Breeze Thru Rescreen quoted you 1 time for 15 panels at a grand total price of $1600. We than left and you put tape on 10 more panels trying to trick our screen repair techs into screening more than was originally quoted for. Our screen tech came out ready to do the job but was unaware that is was nearly a full rescreen that you wanted done and we were not prepared for that work on that particular day with only one screen repair tech being scheduled for your "small job." The estimate had to be reevaluated because of the added screen you put tape on making your job no longer a "small job" but a job for a whole screen repair crew. We told you nicely about the additional charge to your job and that if you wanted to take your business elsewhere we understood. You did not like this new price nor did you like the fact that you had to wait until December. You threatened our company and lied about what you were quoted for. On your estimate paper you will find a note saying additional charges apply for more panels to be replaced. With the added panels you taped off your total would have came to $3500 for your size cage. Please advise that you were in tears because you are upset that you have to wait till December for your cage to get done not because our worker made you cry. As I initially stated, the first time Matthew came to my house, he quickly looked around and asked to see my estimate from the other contractor. I mentioned to Matthew that after our initial estimate with the other contractor was done, we did a more thorough review and found 5 more ripped screens . This made the total number of screens 20. I told Matthew that I contacted the other contractor about the additional screens and that the quote was probably going to be a little higher. He said he could do the job for $1, 600 and that he could do it within 3 weeks. He wrote up an estimate and I signed it. However, when my husband and I reviewed the estimate later that day, we saw that he only wrote it for 15 screens, I immediately texted him and told him that there were additional screens and asked that he acknowledge the change. He texted back and said he would email me a revised estimate. He never sent it. When Matthews brother came out to do the job, He said, the quote was incorrect, Matthew himself came back to our house. He reviewed the estimate and said “Oh yes, I remember you. I said I could get under the other companies estimate.” Then we went out onto the lanai and counted the number of screens that needed to be replaced. At that time, we put tape on each screen to be sure we got them all. He said he would be back the next day or the following day to do the job. He did text the next day stating he could not come, but that he would be at our house the following day. The following day is when he called and said “I can come today to do your screens, but the price will be $3,500.” I also want to mention that after I submitted my review to BBB, Matthew called me and spoke to my husband. He was very unprofessional. He called my husband an M…….F…….and stated several other unprofessional things. At that point we were done dealing with him and his company.

Breeze Thru Rescreen (BTR), LLC is eager to start the project, but it falls short of completion. I contracted numerous times throughout the first two weeks and left voicemails describing a significant screen flaw and open (un-splined) corners. They did not pick up when I called. When I finally got through to someone, they arranged a time and date to finish/fix the task, but they never showed up and didn't call to reschedule. To reschedule, I would have to phone them. Three times this occurred.

I spent a lot of money with BTR, and the contract includes a 5-year warranty, but they don't uphold the terms of the agreement and didn't take reasonable care of my property.

On a side note, I had to spend additional time and money on taking reasonable care of my property after their initial visit. They replaced all my cage screws, but it took may hours to fish out and clean the majority of them from the bottom of my self-cleaning pool. This would have cost me thousands of dollars if they got stuck in the plumbing and damaged the system. They scratched my entire pool deck paint which needs repainting, broke a couple of sprinkler heads that had been replaced, stepped on or twisted a few of my plants (some of which I had to replace), and secretly stuck large company stickers on my screen doors. When removed paint was lifted off to bare metal.

Desired resolution is to finish the job and honor the contract agreement. I would like this done as soon as possible so I can get the pool deck repainted.
