I hired HERO Construction for my shingles replacement. After 3 months the job was to begin within 2 weeks. One night at MIDNIGHT a truck with a big rolloff dumpster on a trailer with no lights is backing into my drive. NO CALL and NO EMAIL notifying me. I thought they were trying to steal my Mustang which was sitting in the drive. Police were called, guns were drawn, people handcuffed and kneeling in the middle of the street, the truck/trailer just took off, it was a VERY frightening situation. I guess when you try to do business at 11:45 PM their truck drivers figured the needed to be armed. When I called the HERO office the next day and asked Coleen ( Off.Mgr )what the heck they were thinking, it was just "Oh well, I guess we just forgot to notify you!! And then she did not report the police situation to the owner Tyrone. Really??? Try to hide all this from the boss? Well the shingle crew showed up and the shingles went on fine. They even did a great job cleaning up. But then the gutter crew never showed up to replace the gutters per the contract. After repeated calls to the office and owner Tyrone, the office manager said that the word "YES" in the contract under the "Gutters" heading meant yes they were not going to put the new gutters on. Double talk for sure. And apparently she still doesn't tell the owner about anything going on. The insurance company says HERO reported the job as complete and said they had paid them the full amount. I guess my only choice is to just absorb the loss or spend more money and hire a lawyer to try to get HERO CONSTRUCTION to do the job as per contract. Either way I am the one who looses. I would not recommend HERO Construction under any circumstances for any sort of work.

Roof placed 4/19( hail damage). I have a leak 6/22. 5 inch water mark above sink in bathroom. American Hero sent a 2 man crew to fix the leak. Next rain, the leak was found in another location. 12 inch leak above the shower. Sent out the same crew, replaced exhaust vent and toilet pipe. Placed used shingles on the roof. Storm today, went in attic and still leaking. 1st the roof didn't leak prior to reroof. 2nd should have been repaired properly the first leak repair( actually was worse). 3rd, repair was done with stripped off shingles when they ran out of replacement shingles. 4th, without inspecting the shingles, was told they were new from photo's. 5th, still leaking(8/18/22). Sent photos of the leak, waiting to hear back from them. I was told at signing 10yrs company warranty and 30 yr GAF on shingles. Upon the first leak I was told the company wasn't responsible after inspection only GAF shingles . Kevin said he would fix the leak because it was only 2 yrs since initial reinstall. This has been a complete nightmare for me.

I had a roof completely replaced in 2018 and they already botched that job because they took over 2 months to finish and they left the roof open so it actually leaked and ruined the ceiling of my roof but I was fed up at that point and just wanted the job done, now July 2022 the roof is leaking again and they said the warranty is voided because of the storms in the area and I even have a paper that says I have labor warranty as well for 10 years but they won't honor it, this company is terrible and I regret that I ever went with them, I don't even want them to do the repairs but I am only doing so because I need the repairs done so there is no further damage to my roof. Terrible customer service as well, I had to keep asking Brenda to keep sending me the information and she kept taking forever and kept transferring back and forth to Collen further delaying the repairs, I literally have to hound this company and check up on them like children. Use a different company, they will mess up your roof and then look at you like you are the problem.

A Salesman named Ian Representing American Hero Construction was knocking on doors, leaving flyers on private property and soliciting in our No-solicitation posted neighborhood. He made mis statements about a wind storm in our neighborhood but referenced evidence of said wind storm at the St Petersburg bridge, 26 miles from our location. He was asked to leave the neighborhood multiple times under threat of police action but was confrontational and refused to leave. Police were called and came out as Ian left the neighborhood.

This company is extremely unprofessional and acts as a mob with have ghetto tactics. This company was contracted to replace my Father's roof in 2017. They met with me and my Father and we went over a detailed plan on the work that would be done. On top of the roof replacement, they were also to replace the soffits on the back of the house. They came out and replaced the roof, however they advised us that they couldn't replace the soffits because they didn't have a way to access them. The city came out and inspected their work and failed them. The insurance company refused to make any additional payments due to the work not being completed. Over the course of a year and a half (1 1/2 years) American Hero called my father seeking payment of $6200. Now keep in mind "THE WORK HADN'T BEEN COMPLETED!!!" They claimed that the soffits weren't part of the repairs when asked about it. The men we met with initially for the work, had either been let go or quit not even a week later. They sent a new person every time to take a look and said "we'll get back to you" and then that person was gone and so no one ever showed back up or returned that call. Even the General Manager Tyrone; came to the residents, talked with my Father and Sister and never followed back up on the issue in Nov 2018. In the mean time, there were rodents (squirrels to be exact) inside of the attic due to the holes in the soffits. The soffits were also hanging from the house by this point. My Father who was 70 at the time, attempted to get it repaired via other companies. Unfortunately, he couldn't afford the $3,000 + they needed. Funny enough, these other companies explained to us that this is a recurring issue with American Hero and they keep these companies in business by fixing their work. Now they are harassing my Father and I via texting and stopped accepting payments he was making. Sent him to collections w/out communicating and stating he wasn't paying when he in fact was. UNPROFESSIONAL

They did a terrific job and a good price . I had 3 other quotes that were much higher and they came and worked very hard and replaced some wood and replaced the roof that was leaking , and I'm very happy with the job they did . Thank you Hero construction.
