My bank account was charged $200 on 11/19/24 for service supposedly on 10/25/24. I rented from this company 12/2021. I was charged cleaning and smoking fee. So Im sure there are no other fees owed. I work in *************. I was at work on 10/25/24. I spoke with a gentleman who stated she would look into it. Now no one will answer any of the multiple numbers they have listed. I will also be going to submit a complaint to the FL state attorney general. This is complete fraud.

Over charges. Abuse and neglect to customers cards. Poses as a sister company to priceless car rental companies and thats simply not true. They are not affiliated with that company at all.

I checked out a rental car from Rrora on 5/2 and when I drove off and checked my account I realized they charged me $378 instead of $290 which wasted to be the amount I would be charged. So I contacted then and spoke with a **** who promised me since I was not informed of the other charges they would give the $88 back plus receive my $200 back when I return the vehicle on 5/5. I returned the vehicle on 5/5 and was told that my deposit would go into my account that night. I called back on 5/7 and informed had not received my deposit. A man then said it can take 5-7 days depending on bank. Come 5/13 I still havent received my deposit. I called today 5:14 around 8:18 and spoke with ****** who said he would send me an email showing that they released the $200 deposit so I can show to my bank to have them release funds to me. I never received the email and still have not received my $200 deposit

    Dear ****************,

    Continuing on this....

My name is **** and ** the office manager for RROA Car Rental, I think we met the day you picked up your rental vehicle.
I am not pleased to hear about this and I want to investigate further, however I need to clarify something first.

I read your email and noticed this that really caught my attention that **** said he was going to also give back too because I was told I only had to pay $290.

I just want to reconfirm that no amount of the rental portion will be refunded are the vehicle leaves the office, and/or returned before the scheduled drop-off time as stated in the Rental Agreement. That being said, It would be against company policy for me to promise that I would refund said amount. Unfortunately, I cannot process a refund of $88.

Your deposit was released, if you still see a deduction in your bank statement (Past Transactions) I need to be able to verify this is the case, in order for me to call the ******** Services to see why would your deposit still be on hold.

Before the rental agreement was signed, it was informed that in the state of *******, all renters must pay for their own Tolls. We gave you the option of having your tolls covered ahead of time using our Unlimited Highway Tolls Pass, and you were made aware that would have an extra cost, and you declined.

The only other option left was to pay for the tolls after the rental, and as per company policy, all renters who opted out of the Unlimited Pass, would have their tolls deducted at the end from the security deposit.

Lats thing, we only place a hold on available funds of $200.00, THOSE FUNDS, ARE NEVER WITHDRAWN, out of the account, those funds were FROZEN but still reflecting in your available balance. That transaction remained pending throughout the rent and later replaced by the amount deducted ($33) or just voided if nothing was to be deducted (ONLY FOR CUSTOMER WHO PURCHASED AN UNLIMITED TOLL PASS)

All deposits *** take up to 5-10 business depending on the financial institution. Meaning if you returned on 5/5, your deposit *** take up until 05/17 to reflect in your statement. We understand you are frustrated, but you have still not allowed the appropriate time to pass ignorer to make a decision on whether it is on everyone's benefit to be receive a complaint that could be invalid. We strongly suggest for you to wait until the appropriate time has passed and then make a decision on whether we are not complying with our on Policies.

    Thank you.

    Have an amazing day.

    Best regards,

Hello, My name is ********, I took a vacation to ******* April 11th, one day after my birthday the 10th. I took my kid on a birthday vacation. Upon arrival I had a car book with another company, but they did not accept my card, so they called another company that did and RROA car rental came and picked us up, its 6am and I was tired just ready to get our car and I did not look up review before since another car company called them. We got our car, I had to pay $330 plus a $200 deposit & we enjoyed our vacation. April 15th is our day to leave, I stopped and filled the tank up, cleaned and dropped the car off like instructed.Once I get back to **** where I live. I waited some days and called them about the $200 deposit. They were saying we were missing $30 worth of gas when I literally stopped outside the airport to fill up, they said the car had sand in it and it was more cleaning, granted we did go to the beach, but I cleaned out the car it was not pails of sand and should have been normal cleaning as part of their contract. Also charged me for tolls in which I am not complaining about. I finally looked up the company and see that they are known for scamming people like this just making up anything to take the deposits or never refunding people deposits. Once I asked for photos, they claim they took of the car, they stopped answering the phone & then blocked my number to where I had to call from a different number to get any answers back. I still have NOT received any deposits back. I am an honest single mother just trying to take my kid somewhere and these people are praying on anybody with card with intention was to never give any money back. I feel stupid to not read the review before trusting people in a new state, ALOT of people are saying the same thing about this business, I'm not sure how it's even legit. But It's nothing I can really do about being scammed but I'm hoping some justice is served for the innocent from this scamming business.

I am writing to address a concerning issue regarding the refund of my $200 deposit for the car rental transaction on December 19, 2023, under Rental Agreement RROA-13175757.As per the business commitment, the deposit was to be refunded within 5 days after returning the car. When I returned the car, you said that they car didnt have any new scratches, and that the deposit was going to be returned to me in 5 days. It has been more than 25 days, and I have not received the refund despite multiple attempts to contact your team.I have made several phone calls to the number ************** and sent many emails to ****************************** seeking clarification and resolution. Additionally, I have provided evidence in the form of pictures taken before and after the rental period to demonstrate the condition of the car.Regrettably, my attempts to discuss this matter in person were met with denial and dismissal of the evidence. This situation is particularly distressing, and I have noticed similar concerns from other customers on ****** Reviews, as indicated in the following link: ************************************************* It is essential to highlight that the positive ratings may not accurately represent the experiences of genuine customers, as some may have affiliations with the business.I kindly request your prompt attention to this matter and a swift resolution. I believe in amicable communication and trust that we can resolve this issue cooperatively.Thank you for your understanding.

On January 21st I rented a car from this company and I paid $297 for the rental and put $200 holds for security deposit on my credit card. I returned the car on January 24th 2023 in the same condition I was given the car. Yesterday January 31st 2023 I reached out to this company to ask why I still didn't get my deposit back and they texted me back saying Jean will get back to me later yesterday afternoon. I did not hear back from anybody but woke up to hundreds of dollars taken out of my account. I have been texting and calling the number that I have for the business to no avail nobody is answering me or calling me back. This is fraudulent. My next step is to call the police.

Responding to complaint ID #******** filed by ***** ******.

On January 24th, 2023, ***** arrived at our office to return his rental. Once the outside was inspected, we notified him that everything with the vehicle was acceptable. Upon further inspection by our team, we immediately came across a cracked windshield. Mr. ****** violated the terms of the agreement by failing to inform RROA Car Rental of this damage to the windshield. As stated in the rental agreement, rental coverage does not cover any type of tire or window damage. The renter is financially responsible for the damages pertaining to tires and/or windows. At the moment of pick up, Mr. ****** was informed of this policy and he agreed without objection and signed the agreement. I hope this clears any doubts.

    Best Regards,

    RROA Car Rental

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

When I spoke to the manager they told me before picking up the car they walked around the car and recorded that there was no damages when we went and returned the car he walked around the car but did not record at this time then told us that everything was fine with the car it was not until we left but they supposedly discovered this crack that was not there when we dropped off the car this is unacceptable and unethical

Fraud charges 1/09/2023 I rented a car back in December payed cash. Used card for security deposit 200$ got my deposit back. Now over two weeks later I'm getting a 400$ charge. I called the place they hung up on me when I addressed it. I have sent ample text and no response. Some one commuted fraud and charged my card without authorization for 400$. I live in Connecticut. No reason a car rental place should be charging me weeks later with no explanation. I received my security deposit back so it wasn't anything of incompliant. It's strictly fraud.

On October 23rd I rented a car from **** after they were recommended to me at the *****************************. The woman at the car rental desk called **** herself and inquired as to whether or not they had a car available. She told us that they did and the total cost including all fees would be $350.00 to rent the car from October 23rd to October 28th. We asked her several times if this place was legitimate as we had read online about some sketchy practices with car rentals in that area. She assured us several times that they were above board and they used them all of the time and were highly recommended. When we arrived at RROA, we spoke to ****** about the car rental. He then tried to say that the price was $450.00. I corrected him and said that we were told $350.00 - not $450.00. He backed down on that but when he ran the receipt it showed a total of $398.00 not the $350.00. I questioned this and he told me that those extra $48.00 fees were for the toll pass in the car. He then also told me that they needed a $200.00 deposit in case we did not return the car with a full tank. If the tank was full then I would receive that $200.00 right back. It was only a "deposit". We returned the car with a full tank promptly Friday morning. I even took pictures of the car and the gas gauge to prove this if needed. He told me that it was "all good". Needless to say, the $200.00 was charged to me credit card and also several days later another $48.98 was charged to my card as well. When I tried to call ****** regarding the fact that I never received my deposit back and inquire about the extra $48.98 that was charged to my card days later, he would not answer the phone, he would not respond to my text messages and his voicemail box was conveniently not accessible. I researched this business online and found out that they have done the exact same type of illegal activity with MANY other customers. They are criminals that need to be stopped.

After carefully reviewing ***************************** rental agreement, it was determined that the charges totaling $48.98 was for the highway tolls used throughout the rental period. The total charges for the rental were communicated to ******************* and we have receipts with Mrs. ********* signature agreeing of all the transactions made during the pick-up of the rental. I was billed for the rental car I had rented , upon returning home I was told that my security deposit was being kept due to me being rear ended which the owner said that I would not be charged due to no fault of mine . I was also charged $200 additional dollars off my debit card and the manager said he didn't know why but can't help me further any investigation into why they took more money from me my card then hung up the phone and blocked my number. Fraud! . All the reviews about this company is similar to the issues iam having. They are constantly charging peoples credit cards once they have their car renturned.

I have tried to contact this company without success. They authorized my credit card for $300 and charged me $110.23 without justification. I need them to call me immediately. The van was left on full tank of gas and the van was also given back in immaculate condition. I will contact my credit card company if they do not have a justifiable reason for these charges.
