American Credit has taken a large amount of money from me and strung me along for 4 years saying they are taking care of the 3 debts I gave them to resolve. Now the credit card companies have given 2 of the debts to Collectors that keep sending me collection notices. Every time I receive one I immediately email, per their instructions, to ACN. Now they dont answer the phone or acknowledge receipt if any of my documentation. I dont know what to do from here.

My complaint is that this company is not responding to any of my communications with them in the past year.  I have one creditor that keeps contacting me for payment that has been sold to a collection company.  I was instructed  NOT to talk to that company by American Credit.  I was told to send ALL communications to them and they would take care of it.  Ive done what they ask but they will not respond to me at all.  I simply wasnt them to do their job and contact me and let me know what to do.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *******

I was contacted by the American Credit Network in 2021 and told that for a 12-month payment plan of $235/month, they could settle three credit card accounts that were in good standing at that time. I was told to stop making monthly payments and that they would contact the companies and would eventually settle with them. I was also told that I would be represented in the event that one of the companies sued me. I spoke several times with their representatives on the phone. I completed the 12-month of payments to the American Credit Network and have not heard from the company since then. Now, I'm being pursued by a process server, and when I try to contact them by e-mail and by phone, I am unable to get any response. I can only conclude that this is some kind of scam, and I want a refund of all the money I paid them.

American Credit Network (***), was to discharge my credit card debt. I joined program in January 2021, submitted all documents from creditors, history & other info (was unemployed for 1.5 years, a temp when COVID hit). I reagularly spoke w/ company re: my status. I accessed my legal caseworker. In March 2022, *** assured me the legal department would take action to prevent wage garnishment. I sent a letter w/my background, and payslips to documented amount garnished to date. December 2022, the last call I had with *****************************, lockslegal, my legal caseworker, was told the judge ordered the debtor companies to discharge debt, and refund the amount garnished. The stop order was w/Tompkins County Judge. Over several months, followed up many times through email and phone messages, then learned from *********, that *** had switched to a new legal vendor and that they could not retrieve the legal documents from my case. After calling weekly and more over the past several months, and being told to speak with a *******, I have never been successful reaching with this individual, and my wages are still being garnished, reaching more than $10,000. My last conversation with ********* (in October), I was told that I should receive a letter, and I seem to remember something about refunding the fees that I'd paid. Now, in the past month, the *** phone number ************** goes directly to a voicemail message, and that the voice box is full. I have sent several emails to *********************************** with no response, and received NO letter from the company.I would like to have the garnishment on my wages stopped, the two final creditors debt discharged, and the amount garnished to be refunded. I've lived without a credit card, and with a poor credit rating for more than two years, after 30 years of excellent credit (I have a mortgage, and paid off several loans). Hence, I ask that *** Finish the Job they took on with my case!
