I rented a wheelchair from scootaround for the 5/31/24 sailing of Symphony of the Seas and the wheelchair was not delivered to the cabin by 2:00pm as promised. I called scootaround at 2:15 to tell them. They were not helpful on the phone and in fact had a condescending attitude. They told me it was RC's (the cruiseline) responsibility to get the wheelchair to the cabin. As directed by scootaround, I checked with both guest services and the cabin ******* as to the whereabouts of the wheelchair, they told me it was scootarounds responsibility to get the wheelchair to the cabin. After many emails over the full course of the 7 day cruise, the scootaround wheelchair was never found! All scootaround did was tell me they were "investigating" the matter over the course of 4 days. By day 5 , they agreed to refund my money as they were unable to produce the needed wheelchair. Ultimately, it was RC who provided a wheelchair the first of which had a broken armrest with exposed sharp edges that put 4 pulls in my sweater and ruined the sleeve. RC then provided one of their massive wheelchairs that was difficult to fit through hallways and hard to maneuver elsewhere. Of note, I rented a light transportable chair to avoid such hardships which is the one scootaround failed to deliver. Not only did they fail to deliver, the first scootaround rep was rude, condescending and not helpful at all on the phone. The other reps wasted my time over days with their failed investigation. A manager was finally assigned by day 5 and she agreed to a refund. Rental # ******

Thieves and scoundrels. We are scheduled to go on a cruise. Wife needs on board transportation so I go by RCL and rent from Scoot. Wife gets sick. Cruise insurance covers, hotel cancels no problem. Scoot thieves keep $110. Okay wife is sick Im a service connected Viet Nam vet and its Veterans Day. We were leaving out of Galveston but I don't see that address. I will conduct a war on social media. Never rent from thieves again. Yes I did have insurance but they said it doesnt cover in last 7 days. And also they did tell me the rules ahead of time. Just screw them and all other thieves like them.

In June, I rented a scooter at the San Diego fair. Scootaround's credit card machine was down (and had been down for weeks) so they made a call to another scooter vender at the fair. They took my credit card information, then told me that the card wouldn't go through. With that I managed to scrap together the required $70 in cash for payment. They didn't bother to hand me a receipt, and I didn't realize that I would need one at the time. A week later I discovered that I was charged $70 on my card. I returned to the fair to straighten things out but was given nothing but a run around. Eventually I was able to get a number to call, then after a number of attempts, I spoke to Nelson, promising to check into the error. It's been over a month and this company obviously doesn't intend on correcting their mistake at double charging me for a scooter. This is outrageous and unfair business practices.
