- Additional Info:The company contacts consumers claiming to have a buyer for their timeshare.The consumer is presented with what appears to be a legitimate contract containing a buyer's name and address and claims that the buyer's funds are already in escrow. The consumer, the seller in the transaction, is told s/he must pay closing, transfer or taxes which they request be wired to a third party. Once the transfer of funds take place the closing never happens and the consumer loses his or her money.
According to BBB's investigation FDR Financial Services is using the name and address of a legitimate company that at one time was located in Lady Lake and the Gatlin Woods Dr. address. The company's exact location is unknown. Some of the other names being used are Century 1st Contract Services LLC, Global Contract Resolutions and TDS Services. Century 1st Contract Services has registered its name with the State of Florida, but its address is known as a "virtual" office used by numerous businesses. Global Contract Resolutions has also registered it's name, but its address is a rented condo. No information has been found on TDS Services. BBB urges extreme caution.
