I hired Lanco leasing Inc.aka Flagler Moving and Storage to move me on October 24, 2023. The estimate they provided and I paid was $787.50 for the move. All in all, they moved fairly quickly that day and got the move done fairly well or so I thought. However, after the fact on November 2, 2023 I noticed that there were items damaged and or missing. I contacted ************************* and he apologized and he forwarded me a damage claim. I completed the damage claim to the best of my ability at the time for a very fair amount of damages of $145.47 not realizing I would come across additional damages and missing items after I submitted it to him. However, to be fair since I didnt include it originally I decided not to amend the damage claim, and only asked to be reimbursed for the original damages. It is now June 2024 and at this point this has dragged on for months with lots of back-and-forth and emails with ***** promising me that checks were coming my way , and that as soon as one was issued, he would take a picture and send it to me to however to date I have received nothing. As a matter of fact, I dont even receive responses anymore from him. At one point ***** advised me that normally they would only reimburse me by weight, but they were going to do me a favor and reimburse me for the monetary amount that I had submitted. Why would I be reimbursed by the weight? I wasnt charged by the weight. I just want to be reimbursed for the items that they damaged that I listed on the claim form.

~ We hired Lanco Leasing to move and store all our belongings.~ We were overcharged approximately $4,500 ~ Our furniture was grossly mishandled, and about $6,000 worth was damaged beyond repair.~ Our belongings were not kept in climate-controlled storage.~ Our things had water damage, stains, mud, and mold. ~ Several of our boxes had been opened and rifled through. +/- $800 worth of items were stolen.~ Someone else's belongings were mixed up inside the boxes with our belongings.~ A substantial amount of food was taken. +/- $1,400. ~ We filed an insurance claim with ************** and he offered us a settlement of $150.We are not the first, nor will we be the last victims of this "company". I posted a warning about this company on the Nextdoor site, and within a few hours 3 other victims came forward. 2 of them received satisfaction from their credit card companies, but for whatever reason, our credit card company will not assist us (because of the extended period of time between charge and dispute perhaps?).I am not sure where the line falls between dishonest business practices and criminal activity, but I think this should be looked into by the authorities.****************************************, CEO of ****** Leasing, is the person we have been dealing with throughtout this ordeal. ************** has a criminal record of violence. Some of the people who contacted me on Nextdoor are aware and afraid of **************. Should anything happen to my husband or myself, you will know where to start looking. Thank you.

**** had a condo on the beach that needed to be moved. **** original only wanted to do the move from point a to point b on the same day and was quoted a price. Over the course of the next month or so **** changed her service several times which increased the cost of service.
First **** couldn't list the house because it was to clutter and her realtor would not post until the place was empty or at least half empty. **** called to have us come pack, load and store from the 5th floor condo during a storm. Our company obliged. Extra services were for packing material and time that was not originally discussed at all. **** had expected us to park in a swell to get us closer to the condo and with the rain that was impossible because that area was flooded. That day **** was given extra manpower to move things along at no charge. At the end of the day **** tipped the men and paid her bill no questions asked.
Second **** found a buyer and was ready to move the rest of her items. There were 2 services that again changed her original service plan at this point. First, we arrived ready to go at 9am. Nothing was packed. **** asked us to pack up everything else which resulted in materials charge and time to pack. Second **** had no place to go so everything needed to come back to storage. **** also asked use to move a custom built in desk unit which i told her we would not do. She convinced the men on the job to take it apart and would not be responsible to put it together when delivered, so they did. Then the item would not fit in the elevator and again convinced the men to carry it down 5 flights of stairs. **** paid her bill and tipped the men with no question.
Third **** found a place to move to and set up a date to move out of storage and into her new place. This date was delayed several times which she was never charged for.
Finally **** was ready to move into her new place but this place was not as big as the place that she moved out of so there was no place for her belongings. We delivered her items and placed things where they would fit. The custom desk did not go back together because there was no place for it and it would need to be modified to work correctly. **** paid her bill and tipped the men and job was done.
Never heard from **** about her feeling like she paid to much. No email, no phone call about the price whatsoever. If there was a question, we would see if we could resolve it there. On the day of her move one of the men unloaded a box that they keep on the truck for random trash and put it by the garbage can.
Several weeks later **** called about this box and some damage that she thought was caused by us on the bottom of some old racks she kept in the kitchen. We complied and sent her a claim form. Several weeks later **** returned the claim form and at that point opened the book on what a bad mover is and tried to project that on us but the actual claim was for a few small damages to her furniture that was inventoried damaged already. **** did not purchase any extra ins which she was offered and declined. **** was sent a check for .60$ per lb per article which is the state min free ins. At that point **** stopped payment on over $5000.00 worth of charges and continued to slander our name online trying to make a conspiracy of our company which is 100% fully licensed and insured and highly trusted by the community. We do moves for the local police department and city offices. We pack store and deliver for multi-million dollar homes. We are with the local chamber and do business with many respectable people in this community. **** is not part of that community. We are currently putting together a lawsuit for defamation of character as well as the money that they owe plus fees. **** started out wanting bare minimum services and ended up getting full white glove service. We have every signed contract for all charges including signatures for rejected ins as well as accepting the free ins. Our contracts clearly state all charges and every time we performed a service for **** she signed for exactly what she was getting. The biggest shame is that the men that did the work are professional movers and some of the best in town. They have families and are respectable people. By **** trying to scam the system other customers could possibly not get the opportunity to use them to move and get way less quality move. **** is a scam artist, and she will be held responsible for her actions.
Lastly **** need to be explained simple economics, a corporation that owns several entities is called Enterprise.
****** enterprises owns ********* I'm sure she's familiar with that store.
Target is owned by ************ So forth and so on. **** is going online making false statements about our corporation and will be held liable b y the fullest extent of the law as for as long as she keeps those postings up. We will be seeking damages by any business lost do to her false and misleading statements. We do hundreds of moves like hers every year. These are facts and will be presented in the upcoming lawsuit. All this is also stated in the 3 contracts that she signed and dated at the commencement of each service provided. It is also a felony for theft of service in the state of Florida. **** should take a look at her contracts before she makes these decisions to try and defraud. Copies will be provided in the discovery part of the lawsuit.

    ***Document Attached***
Regarding the BBB Lanco Business Response received 11/16/2022: Quotations are in reference to the direct paragraph per each allegation.

You would think that if ************** (CEO of Lanco) was just going to make things up, he would do so in ways that weren't so easily disprovable.

"**** had a condo on the beach..." Attached is the quote from Lanco, created ******* 12, 2022, after ************** personally came onsite to evaluate our condo moving needs. This quote shows packing and storage charges, plus pick-up and drop-off to storage, on ******* 16, 2022. No changes or surprises here. Attached is weather history for ******* 16,2022. There was no storm.

"Second..." Attached is the quote from Lanco, for the move-out on April 26, 2022. This shows packing and storage charges, plus pick-up and drop-off to storage. No changes or surprises here. Attached is listing photo showing an empty room because the desks had already been disassembled and removed during the first move out.

"Third..." Our closing was uneventful, smooth with no delays. ************** must have us confused with someone else.

"Finally..." Our condo was **** sq ft; our new house is **** sq ft with a 2-car garage and a 20 X 14 detached building. Plenty of room for everything and the unloading on June 4, 2022 went quickly. The furniture was put in the living room, dining room and bedroom, all boxes were stacked in the family room, and the desks were left in the garage. Again, ************** must have us confused with someone else.
"Several weeks later..." We started unpacking the next day, June 5, 2022, and immediately started finding damages. The attached emails confirm that ************** was directly informed of damages as we discovered them. Attached listing photo shows no 'old racks' in our kitchen. The next attached photo shows what we think he is referring to - our clean white industrial-style wall unit. The attached photo after that shows what the wall unit looked like when it was delivered to our new home.

We submitted *****'s claim form on September 1, 2022, which showed $8,253.65 in damaged and missing property. Additionally, overcharges of $4,511.52 were mentioned along with the claim. Claim letter attached.

************** responded by claiming we had a 250 lb load (the size of 2 slender women) and offered us a settlement of $150. Claim response attached.

I posted a warning about Lanco on the Nextdoor site, and within a few hours several other victims came forward. They told the same story of overcharges and destroyed furniture. Some of the people who contacted me on Nextdoor are aware that ************** has a criminal record of violence and told me that they are afraid of him. I believe this is why there are not more reports against ******

We are two seniors living on fixed income. We cannot afford to be financially harmed to this extent.

We paid $1800 to Flagler Moving and Storage to put our property in their storage facility on 7/31/21 and $286/mo for storage until 3/28/22 ($2312) additional. Then we paid $3600 to move our property from their storage facility to our address in Anderson,SC. TOTAL $7712. When Furnture was delivered we noticed 3 items were damaged. Their driver and I took pictures he requested and I also submitted an estimate of repair costs. I was asked to sign receipt for delivery noting the damage. I have copies of estimate and their request for same. Also emails requesting their response to many unreturned phone messages left over the following several months to no avail until I disputed the charge on my credit card. They had the dispute rescinded claiming I signed to not pay for additional insurance. I was told they had their own insurance so why would I need additional. Find out their insurance only pays by weight not value and therefore they claim they only owe $27 on $410 repair costs. They claim they sent a check in this amount but it has never been received. After giving this company over $7700 in business I would expect not to have to chase them months for reimbursement of only $410 and then be further insulted with an offer of $27 which would not be excepted if even received. Replacement value of the damaged pieces is $1560 and that is what I feel is a fair settlement not even taking into account the time and anxiety I have had to deal with over the last several months to date. Attached below are documents regarding emails, estimates, etc.
