    We rented from Advantage Realty for over 3 years and our lease ended February 28, 2023. We asked for a move out inspection and they never granted us one. They did a move out without us present and found items wrong with the place and kept most of our security deposit. Out of the $2,000 security deposit there was a check due back to us for $255.00. We gave her our forwarding address and ***** from Advantage said she mailed it on March 14, 2023. She said she put a stamp on it and put it in the mail slot around the corner from their office. We have no proof from them that it was actually mailed. We asked her to please cancel the check and issue us a new one because it's been 30 days now and we have not received it. She said they will not do that and we have to wait until the check gets returned in the mail to them. What if it never gets returned? We are due that money. It is our right according to the Florida Statue that check gets to us. We feel this business is operating in a deceitful way, by stealing their tenants security deposits.

    Hello, an inspection of the property was completed and the tenant was notified that some issues need to be taken care of and are tenant responsibility as per lease agreement. Tenant provided a mailing address out of state and that is where it was mailed out.

    Initially the tenant was offered a direct deposit option or just to pick up the check from our office; the tenant declined. The check was mailed out USPS with standard mail and stamp, we have no control over USPS. At this time if the letter is not claimed it should return to sender and we can give this check to the tenant. An option to do stop check was given to the tenant with $32 bank fee, the tenant did not want to take this option. We have no other choice but to wait for the mail to return if it was not claimed by anyone.
