I do not recommend Steve's Bike Shop for customers unless you just like to agree and put up with his way. He is not professional nor does he care about his customer's as a person. His arrogance is the only way it is. He states he will not change his ways. Throughout the conversation he always bragged about himself. He liked to say his 10,000 customers say he's good. Nobody except myself being the only one that don't like his business practices. I recently took a bike in for a tune up and agreed to a $139 dollar tuneup plus a couple parts that I identified with the clerk, the chain and brake pads. I didn't identify but thought the headset bearings might be bad too. I asked if they found something more would I be notified and she said I would, but was not. I received a call a few days later that the bike is ready and the cost is $550. I never received a call for approval of the increase in charges and when confronted the owner he stated he doesn't have time to call people and just took it upon himself the charge would be okay. This is how is and will not change, his own words. I asked why the other workers couldn't call for approval he refused to answer other than I'm too busy? He stated he puts top quality products out only. But since I wasn't happy he would take the bad parts back off, top quality out the door?? He also didn't give me the opportunity to select which parts I might want. Instead of a higher cost time maybe to could go with alittle less one to fit my budget for this. With the times they way they are, inflation of food, gas, utilities and more people just may not the money available they did before the pandemic and the increased cost of living. When I asked questions he would always push the conversation back to it is my fault for questioning his business practices. I gave a one rating as there isn't a zero available which he deserves. If you choose to go there don't say you weren't warned.
