I really struggled not to write a review, but I didn’t want to idly standby as others fell victim to this company’s tactics. I hired Aluma towards the end of the year and about ten months later my pergola was completed. Let me tell you how I got there. After noticing many months of no progress, I reached out to the company numerous times and got the same answer over and over. After doing my own research, I learned that the company never filed the proper paperwork with the city in order to get the permits they needed to begin work. When Aluma finally decided they were ready to file the paperwork. They waited and waited before they paid any of the fees in order to have the permit issued. I began to grow tired of the excuses, so I went to the permit office myself and paid the permit fee. Once the fee was paid, I still waited and waited until finally someone came out to mark the hole. That somebody was **** *******. He put a big x on my pavers where the hole was supposed to be dug. Weeks had passed but the hole was still not dug. After calls and emails and calls and emails, I finally had someone show up to prepare and dig the hole. I am sure you can guess what happened next, nothing!! More waiting!! And the saga continues…. Eventually to make a long story short the Pergola was finally completed, but not completed in a satisfactory way. The beams were not level, the gutter was improperly positioned to drain water back into my patio that was supposed to be free of water and rain, and like so many other victims of this company’s unprofessional and shoddy work, my roof leaked too. Yes they came and tried to fix it (only because they weren’t paid in full) but as one might expect, the leaks were never resolved. I have to pay and get the gutters repaired and properly draining. Right now they spit flooding amounts of water back onto the pavers that the pergola was intended to keep dry. Bottom line, do not do business with this company!

Aluma Outdoor Designs, *** is the absolutely worse company to deal with. I have been promised dates to complete work on several occasions and they never showed up. No apologies, no calls, no service. When they finally finished the job, I noticed a couple of defects and asked them to return and correct. After weeks of waiting, they finally showed up unannounced and actually caused more damage (than repair) and I immediately called them to complain. I have been waiting weeks again, with no return calls. This company has no respect of your time nor do they care about satisfying their customers. They deserve to be shut down.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Signed a contract 1 year ago in September 2021. To date paid 3/4 of money. we are seniors Absolutely nothing has been done. Excuses & lies from the owner as well as the entire office staff. Stay as far away from this company.!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I contracted with Aluma Outdoor Designs for a pergola in December of 2021. The structure was completed the end of May 2021. The total cost of the structure was almost $17,000.00 which was PAID IN FULL. The structure started leaking in June of 2021. The owner ********* came ONCE months later to repair and the structure continued to leak. He sent his "crew" in November 2021 to "repair" and the pergola not only leaked in the areas of concern, but ended up having a total of SIX LEAKS!! After months and months of texts and emails, he stopped responding. I finally got someone in his office to answer in January 2022 named ******* i notified him of my intent to report Aluma Outdoor Designs since they/owner had ceased communicating. HIS RESPONSE: "Go Ahead". I put in a complaint with the BBB in January of 2022 and i received an email from the BBB in March 2022, that the owner of Aluma Outdoor Designs failed to respond. In March 2022, The Attorney General in *********** ******* has since taken over this case and has also sent this case over to the ******* ************************************************** (****). The ** office has instructed me to contact the BROWARD COUNTY CONTRACTOR LICENSING AND ENFORCMENT SECTION and the BROWARD COUNTY CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION. I will be doing as instructed. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE **** OF YOUR HARD EARNED FUNDS USING THIS COMPANY!!! ZERO STARS IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IF THAT WAS AN OPTION.

Please do not use this company. Please check the Broward County Court records showing multiple Default Judgement against this company. Please do your research and save yourself from aggravation.

Aluma completed my Pergola in November 2021 which included a 1 year warranty against leaks. Upon the first rain we noticed a leak, photographed it and sent to Aluma. They were fine and said no problem we will come out to fix it. It is now April 2022 and they have not returned to my house. Mind you, we are only a few miles away for what appears to be a minor repair. Aluma has made excuses, promises and flat out lies about their service. They do not honor their warranty. We have exchanged numerous text messages, calls and emails and all we hear are vacant promises. At this point they totally ignore us. I even contacted the sales person who wrote the contract and assured us there was a 1 year warranty on leaks. She did not seem surprised that we were being ignored. I wish I had checked with BBB before I hired them since they already have an F rating. These are BAD people and lend truth to the fact that South Florida is full of con artists.
