The complaint is erroneous.
Mr. ****** has failed to include the fact that Storm Code Roofing did attempt to complete the project in late July, as was originally scheduled.
At that time, our team members were escorted off of the property (by the Boynton Beach *****************) because, unbeknownst to **, Mr. ****** was in an active dispute with a residing tenant at that time. At the behest of Mr. ******* we patiently waited while he worked through the legal channels and eventually had the tenant evicted. That was the reason for the initial delay. It had nothing to do with Storm Code Roofing.
The delay that Mr. ****** is currently referring to are the result of hurricanes ****** and *******which will be hitting the *************** area within two weeks of each other. Due to insurance concerns, safety concerns for our team members and to adhere to warnings set forth by the State of Florida, we can not resume work until the storm passes. That said, there is no issue to dispute because Mr. ******** money is not in jeopardy. We are not abandoning Mr. ****** and have assured him (on multiple occasions) the we intend to complete the project as soon as the weather permits.
Hurricanes are easy to verify. That said, if Mr. ****** is denying the accuracy of what was previously described in this response,Storm Code Roofing would be happy to present paperwork from the ***************** of ************** ******* to confirm the accuracy of our response.Thank you.
Kind Regards,
******* Materia
Managing Director.

I am rejecting this response because:We have had our issues throughout the process, however once the felt was down PBC ************* informed me you folks did not pass inspection. I assert the delays were not caused by the tenant but the improper installation of the felt layer. This information was discussed with Mr. **** ******* Chief Code Inspector for PBC.
Outside of that, attached is our conversations after the home was made available after Sept 11th, We understand about the hurricanes, however numerous opportunities became available since the home was available and excuses is all we received was excuses.
In the last text we were told we were next on the list, since then, no contact. one of the big issues i have is the lack of communication, customer service should be at the top of the list in this industry.
If you intend on doing the work, Why have i not received any contact as to the schedule or plan or even a return call?
This is very disturbing, Intentionally cutting off communication can only lead to us believing your trying to default.
finish the job and this goes away.
Sincerely,

*** ****** is leaving out the fact that he used profanity during a conversation that took place on October 25th,2024. At that time, I sent an e-mail to his wife ******* (see attachment dated October 25th, 2024) explaining the fact that I would refrain from further communication with ***** as a result of this incident.
I have been in contact with Inspector ******* who told me that he would communicate our conversations to *** ****** (see attached email from Inspector ******* ******* Letter, November 8th). In addition, an email was sent (this morning),informing ******* ****** that I would be talking with Inspector ******* (later today)and that I would provide an update as soon I have one (see attached email dated 11/13/2024).
As you can see, I have been in direct communication with Mrs. ************* It's unfortunate that ********* was not made aware of our correspondence.
All of this said, we have every intention of finishing this project. We will continue work soon as Inspector ******* gives us permission to proceed. This information has been made abundantly clear to both *** and Mrs. ****** on multiple occasions.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
******* *. Materia

I am rejecting this response because:It's just more excuses, each hurricane took roughly two days to clear. The issue has been going on for six months.
The real issue here is the they have been having problems with passing inspections then slow walking the corrections.
Roof replacements shouldn't take six months to complete unless the vendor has issues.
All the information in their response is excuses and deflections. Maybe clear communications and less lies and deception would precipitate better customer service for your company.
I say this as, to date they still have not been clear on what was happening, never stated the issues with code enforcement, I had to initiate calls to code enforcement to find out what was actually happening.
Not really a customer service based vendor.
Sincerely,

Job still not completed. More excuses as to why they cannot complete the job they were hired to perform. Never used profanity directly against person only about their inability to perform.Initial Complaint

Roofing company has not fixed the issues for the roof to pass final inspection. I informed them that I stopped payment of the 3rd payment to them until the roof has been corrected according to the inspectors description of required action to pass inspection. They cancelled the 2nd final inspection without notifying me and the necessary work was not completed. The 1st final inspection failed last week. They now are avoiding my communications. I was very clear to them in writing that they will receive no further payments until after the final inspection has passed.Business response

This complaint is a fabrication. Please see the attached report proving that the roof in question passed final inspection on May 15th, 2024. The individual who made the complaint bounced a check to our company and is currently being sued for break of contract and fraud. Her complaint is simply an attempt to ruin our reputation. Please do not allow her to do that. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Ive been working with ****** (the owner) and ******* since December 23 on a roof replacement on my parents house in ********. At first I thought there follow-up was not great but I could live with along as they performed the work. But it has been 5 months since work began and the roof has not passed final inspection. And worse, I cant get a response back from ******* or ****** despite multiple attends to text and leave messages. Theyve ghosted me. I want them to honor their commitment and ensure the roof passes inspection.Business response

I signed a contract with Storm Code Roofing on 11/9/23 for the installation of a new roof. I made a down payment of $3650. They removed the old roof and the job has now been stalled for a few weeks. I have water leaking in the house. I have been given a number of start dates to complete the job but those dates have come and gone. I last spoke to *******, the project leader, on Monday 3/25, when he told me work would resume Wednesday 3/27. I can no longer get him nor the owner of the company on the phone. They will not respond to calls or texts. I am facing potentially losing my homeowners insurance, as well as complaints from the ********************** that could lead to fines.Customer response

To whom it may concern,
As of June 7th, 2024, Storm Code Roofing has completed my roofing project. They did not make the necessary repairs to the damage done by their crew, but they did adjust the final bill to compensate for it. Please contact me if you have any further questions.
