The Dentist tried placing a crown 3 different times on same tooth, didn't get it right but said if I still had problems I can come back on no charge. When I returned back about 6 months later because it was hurting, another dentist in the office replaced it again, and charged me for the same crown again. I asked to talk to the other dentist who originally placed my crown, they refused, and said too bad I have to pay again. When I complained, they said they didn't care that I had already paid them, the other dentist had to rework the crown. I paid them for the crown on the same tooth twice within 6 months. The second charge occurred on June 4th. I said this isn't fair and I wouldn't not do business with them again, they said they don't care. I am down $1275 from my HSA account because this charge, they don't care. A previous time, I caught them, they put on charges to bypass the dental insurance, they honestly said they did it so they can charge more for their service, I reported them to my insurance company.

In my almost 50 years of being an adult, I have never had so many problems with a professional office. I first went there because I had a horrendous tooth ache. Before I saw the dentist, I filled out their form and as I always did, carefully listed drugs I was allergic to. When I saw the dentist, she said I had an infection and that she would prescribe an antibiotic. When I got to the pharmacy, the pharmacist said the antibiotic I was prescribed was too close to an antibiotic I was allergic to. Dentists of Port Charlotte advertises itself as being available on extended hours, so I called them from the pharmacy. I got the answering service and was told someone would call me within a half hour. The half hour came and went, so I called again and was told again someone would call me within a half hour. That half hour came and went, I called. Another half hour came and went and the answering service called but they knew nothing, so I went home. The next day, the dentist finally called and said she had prescribed another antibiotic. I went to the pharmacy and discovered the prescription was for an antibiotic used only for Gastro-Intestinal infections. I called the dentist and she assured me it would work for teeth. I took it for 3 weeks and it did nothing to fight the infection in my mouth. I saw the dentist and she said she didn't know what antibiotic to prescribe. I said I would talk to the pharmacist who easily found an antibiotic I could take and which worked. Ultimately, Dentists of Port Charlotte removed the infected tooth and I decided to have an implant to replace the tooth. I was told the implant would cost $2,481.50, was given a copy of a document outlining what the costs were and was scheduled for a pre-op. I showed up early for the pre-op appointment scheduled for 8:00 am but at 9:30, I had still not seen a dentist and had to leave for another appointment. Before I left, however, I was told the implant would now cost $3,600. At that point, I gave up on having them do the implant, but I still had an appointment for a regular dental visit and cleaning which was scheduled for today, April 29th. Last week, I received a text from the Dentists of Port Charlotte reminding me of this appointment. The link in the text didn't work, so I called and left a voice mail confirming the appointment. But, when I showed up for the appointment, I was told I was not on the schedule. I showed the receptionist the text they had sent me, she said she was sorry but I could not be seen then. She did make me an appointment for the next day, April 30th. But, in less than an hour she called me back and cancelled the appointment, because she said since I hadn't had a regular dental appointment at their office the appointment she had made wasn't long enough. Unbelievable.

I went to Dentists of Port Charlotte to have 3 crowns put on. I had to pay the full price of $3000 up front for the procedure. I was told that as soon as my insurance paid, they would *********** my CareCredit card. My insurance, Delta Dental, paid the company $2500 on 12/20/2023 and to this day they still refuse to refund my payment. I was told they want to hold it for future procedures. I told them no, I want the refund. Then they told me I had to wait 21 days. My husband went in the office and was then told it would be another 3 months.
