On October 19, 2019 my husband and I hired Allstar to replace our old AC that was installed in 2004. It worked well for over 14 years. They charged us $6800 for a brand new Goodman AC. On October 20, 2021 the blower broke down and said "it looks like the part was faulty and cannot handle Florida weather so we have to replace it. They made us paid $720 to replace something on a brand new AC. Mind you I also pay them to service my AC every 6 month for regular maintenance. On February 21, 2022 failed 45+5 run cap failed on compressor side and charged us $223. On November 17, 2023 the AC stopped working. They came and the coil had a leak so all the coolant /freon leaked and everything was full of ice. They charged us $1676.25 to replace coil and fill with freon. Now 9/9 the handler is leaking water and they say the coil need cleaning and want to charge me $329. I asked why do I keep having problems with this new AC and their answer is always these parts sometimes come faulty. So far in 3 years it has cost us $9419.25 This company is purposely installing new AC with faulty parts that are not under warranty so they can keep getting money from you for repair. It's a scam. They led us to believe we were stuck with this horrible company that has no integrity. I have receipts if you want proof. I will tell anyone that will listen so these people stop abusing and deceiving consumers. They know that in Florida AC is a need not a commodity. I requested to talk to the owner and a Bejamin Hill called me and left a message informing us that if we are not happy with their service to go else where that any AC company will honor the warranty. If I would have known this I would not have loss so much money. I just got another AC company to come clean the coils for $180 so not only are they deceptive they have been charging me way more money for everything they did.By sharing your experience together we can prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace.

I had a new air conditioner installed 10/2020. I was told the Lennar I was to have “didn’t fit” so a Rheem was substituted, which I agreed to. Since that day the air conditioner has not worked. I was told by the tech he “ could get me a good deal on a new one”.when he came to repair . I was told by the office it was because I refused new ductwork. I was not told the unit would not work without new ductwork. If It had I would have done that. I had new ductwork installed 5/23 and the unit is still not functioning. The tech couldn’t do the leak detection because the battery on his machine was dead. And gave an estimate for refrigeration service for 1699.00! Now in April 2024 it is over 80 degrees in my house. I paid 8623 for this along with surge protection, and whole house duct cleaning, totaling 9000. The unit should be repaired or replaced at no charge. My Goodman A/C went 15 years before needing to be replaced. I believe this is a defective unit or not installed properly.

Not competent. I scheduled a maintenance for my amAC in July and my AC drains were clogged in August. I didn't see the tech with a wet vac to drain my line. Charged me for coming on a Sat and to fix the drain. I told them no I'm not paying for service and wouldn't waive the fee for coming. It should not have clogged so quick.

All Star sold us a system way too big for our house. They sold us 4 ton system when it should have been a 3 ton system. Every company that we’ve had look at it says it’s too big even the inspector who signed off on the permit made that comment. They did a shoddy job and did not coat the plenum, resulting in condensation because the warm air is meeting the cold air. There is restricted air flow because the duct work was done incorrectly. Do not use this company. We have tried to deal with them directly for over a year but it’s useless. STAY AWAY!!!

Customer is very rude, we have the call recording from when I spoke with them. Customer told me to FU** myself multiple times and called me a piece of SH** multiple times as well. I explained that we left estimates for the needed repairs and that the unit we installed was not oversized. Its a 4 ton variable capacity compressor AMANA with lifetime unit replacement on the compressor and they do not make half sizes in that model. Designed to automatically adjust the speed of the compressor and condensing fan motor based on cooling demand full, 100% capacity for extreme temperatures, and reduced capacity for milder days. This inverter energy management technology efficiently controls the indoor comfort systems variable-speed motor in conjunction with the compressor and fan speed. Bottom line is that the system is not oversized and it can run at full capacity or lower capacity based on demand and load. We left estimates for needed repairs. Customer demanded that we come out same day and fix plenums. I told him to accept the estimates and remit payment. After payment was received we would schedule the repairs/additional work. This is when the customer blew up and started shouting profanities. We did not do any duct work for this customer. We reconnected to existing ductwork and plenums. The ductwork was installed by another contractor NOT US. We attempted to work with this customer but customer was unreasonable and refused to pay for additional work.
