Company is paid in full and work is not complete. Owner *************************** keeps telling me he will come and finish but he never shows up. The job site has not seen any progress in almost 6 months.

Elite went into a contract to do a paver pool deck and complete remodel. Also an additional paver patio outside of screened pool area. We also built a fire pit. We completed all of the work that we contracted to do. ******* asked us to install some additional pavers for an entrance to a dog access door. We did tell ******* that we would take care of that on a couple of times. It did take us a while to get back and do the work, but the work was completed. After we completed the requested work, ******* told me he would reach out to the BBB and update that we had performed and completed.Initial Complaint

We booked work with him in Dec 2021. He took deposits for material and then constantly put us off with a variety of excuses. Backed up on other jobs, weather, sick, truck broke down etc. After about 2 months we insisted he get started and give a start date. He said he would be there next week, and gave this excuse for weeks. Finally I said just refund our money or do the job! He said he would cancel the job and get us a check. Then used a another variety of excuses to put us off on the refund! Every week he says hes coming with a check but never shows up. He has $2250.00 of our money and needs to give it back! I have attached his proposal showing the deposits he took. No material has been delivered or any work started.Business response

Elite went into a contract with ***************** to install paver entry, sidewalk and back patio. Customer choose 2 different paver shapes and added a back patio as a change order. Materials where ordered and paid for. The supply companies during this time where taking much longer to manufacture product mainly because of raw material shortages. The customer was getting frustrated because of this and wanted to cancel job with us. We informed customer that manufacturer would not give us a refund and that we Elite owned the product. We did not think that it was fair to us to refund monies to homeowner and had to still take delivery of material. Complaint was made to BBB by customer and the only way to rectify issue was to refund deposit. Elite paid homeowner with cashiers check dated 4/20/2022 for $2250.00. Customer never informed ******************** that they received full refund.
