    This company did my moving from Jacksonville to Tampa and in the process broke my furniture and other belongings and they don’t want to pay for the repairs.

    We are not responsible for items that were packed by owner. As we do not if they were broken before or how well they were packed.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Business response is incorrect.  I am attaching the original receipt that clearly shows all the items that were packed by the movers.  The only exception were the boxes which I packed and were not listed on the receipt but were included in the price.  The respondent was not present, only the workers and my family were there at the time the packing and move was done.  One of the night tables was actually broken by the mover that I witnessed when he brought it in from the truck.  He then said that the other table was broken but he didn't do it but am sure he broke it at the time of unloading.  I do not appreciate the respondent lying and putting in question my complaints.  I was unfairly treated by the respondent when I called and it is evident by the unprofessional response to this complaint.

    When you were given the estimate, the estimated packing for some of these items was $421. You did not pay the $421 for the packing. Yes we will pad wrap and do our best but for the insurance to cover them we must box them which would have been extra. When you opt out of having us pack them we are not responsible for them. You were not charged and you did not pay for any extra packing.
