A Very demeaning and insulting experience. THE Sales boss yells at me to "GET OUT" OF the dealership and threats with "JAIL time" ??? read along...Is it Racial Profiling? Illiteracy? or sales men wannabe DHS/border Patrol/ICE/Attorney generals but failed school?I am a south Asian techie on a work ***** ******************* please take a minute to reflect.I went to this dealership to look at a used car. Sales guy asks for my license and I provide it.Now he looks at my license very suspiciously points that it is a temporary license and it has only 1 year left.I ask him why he's concerned on the dates of my license and when it expires or temporary. He then takes my license and runs into sales room and all sales guys are speculating if it's real or contraband. I did not like it and I asked them to return my DL and told them, It's not fair . One guy takes me to another room and tell me they do it all the time and that financial organizations require this info to qualify for loan and all, I stop him and tell him my license is REAL-ID compliant fed validated. It is my credit application, credit worthiness and ability to pay based on which institutions lend. He says they do it all the time, I tell him this is profiling and discrimination and there will be legal consequences for it and I walked out.I went back to show my earnings just so that they SHOULD NOT JUDGE people. Now the Attorney General sales manager loudly YELLS at me saying , "they have to do all these checks and the ATTORNEY GENERAL has provided them the law and provision to do that". I asked him what statutory law? he YELLS at me - we don't have to tell you all that, "GET OUT OF HERE"(multiple times) and threats with "JAIL time". I quietly walked out, I know my limits as I am on their business premises. I leave it to the reader. Imagine what would happen to your personal info in the hands of people like this,with whome they may be sharing. Does this dealership expect to see immigration documents?
