Let me begin by mentioning how great the people of this company are. Their persistence, punctuality, and attention to the clients (me) needs couldn't have been better. I work for one of the largest utility companies in the nation so I was of course skeptical about solar on my house. I had all the same sales tactics "cancels" when door knockers came to tell me about solar power. When Equity Solar approached me in the driveway one afternoon I told the gentleman "I'm not putting a lien on my house, not putting down huge down payment, and I'm not cutting down my giant oak tree". He said, "No Problem", let's chat. We discussed my current electricity bill and he immediately helped me remove some extras that I was currently paying for and I hadn't even signed up for solar yet. We discussed Equity Solar's plan for 2 hours because my wife and I had some real questions and his responses almost seemed too good to be true! I charge an electric car; I have a 47' RV connected to my house; and I have a huge pool with a pump that seems to run for 8 or more hours a day. My electric bill with the utility was over $550/month and since I work for this utility I am aware that it will consistently go up over time. Long story short, I needed results and I needed them quickly. I signed on the dotted line and the gentleman and I configured a solar layout that would power all my toys and then some. I cannot be happier with my solar array! The installation went super quick. The city inspected the install and was easily approved. Any extra power I don't use I sell back to the utility now so I literally have no bill with the utility. My solar payment is hundreds less than what I was paying monthly and if/when I sell my house I'll be taking my solar with me! BRAVO, EQUITY SOLAR.

Their representative came to my home and got information to add solar panels and back-up batteries. When I did not receive the estimate via e-mail a few days later as agreed, I called him and he said he would send it that day. When it did not arrive, I texted and called again the next day but he no longer answers the phone or responds to texts. This company just wasted my time and I would give them zero stars if I could.

For all those people who want to use this company, here is my story that could be yours if you use this company. Equity Solar installed the panels on my house and finished the installation. I went up to the roof to check and they had made four holes in the roof by mistake and they sealed it with silicone. I reported it and they told me to repair it and they would pay for it, and that's what happened. Three years later I had a leak due to the faulty installation of the panels. I reported it and they told me to repair it and they would send a technician to remove the panels and put them back. They didn't even seal the base that supports the panel to the roof, confirmed by their own technician. After everything was finished, they refused to pay for the roofers' service claiming that I did not have anything in writing authorizing the repair. A company that doesn't even keep its word is worthless to me. I paid the roofers myself and they gladly did an excellent job. In the end, you need peace of mind knowing that everything was done right and that there won't be any more problems. As you can see, the warranty thing is all a lie. If you're reading this, think carefully about the roof of your house. It's important.
