My boyfriend was charged $150 for a mess up THEY DID and they do not want to refund his money, someone needs to go out and investigate this hotel Budget inn in Sanford Fl because they are scamming people out of there money.Initial Complaint

After I made a reservation to extend my stay I went to the front desk to take care of the paperwork which is all it should have been. I speak with the ** and I explain what I'm doing and ask if I can put the extra fee of $30 on my card. He starts asking about a deposit supposedly she didn't charge me for. I'm confused and next thing I know he screams at me to JUST GET OUT several times. He waving his arms around and yelling at me to get out.i was afraid he was gonna come around the counter. I left and went to my room. I call the travel app and try and get a refund . Of course it's too late even thou an hour hasn't passed. He lies and tells them I need to check out to clean the room per policy. On the receipt I downloaded it will show you their policy is 7 days. He didn't say that to me. He just yelled get out. He also won't refund my money. He told the travel app representative that I can stay but why would I after the way he treated me. I don't trust him and was afraid of what he might do.Initial Complaint

I booked a room here for me and my girlfriend last night on 11/21/23 and today is 11/22/23. I was arriving back at the hotel after going to the store up the road and I park my car and get out and start walking around the back to go up the stairs to get to my room #***. There was a man standing to the left of me where I parked and he comes up to me and demands me to give him my room number, mind you I have no idea who this stranger is, he didnt give me his name, tell me if he worked here, nothing. So why would I give this stranger my room number so a strange random man can know where Im sleeping at night. I try to avoid the situation and walk away because I know I am allowed to stay here I am 21 years of age I paid to stay here so therefore no matter who this man is, he cannot not tell me anything. So as I try to walk away and avoid the situation, the man follows me and begins yelling at me demanding to give him my room number or he is calling the police. Mind you Ive done absolutely nothing wrong or even close to illegal. He starts getting very loud and crazy with me. I eventually give the man my room number and he then still demands me to come up to the office with him as if he thinks Im lying or something. I even showed the man my room card and all which once again I am not obligated to give this random man ANY of my information. He still forces me to come with him to the office just for him to tell me to go to my room. At this point I feel as if I was racially profiled and I feel as if this man should be fired. I talked to other employees and they completely understand why I am upset and they dont understand why this man came at me the way he did. He also told me that he owns this property then as I spoke with the employees they explained to me that he DOES NOT own this property and he is on the General Manager. I am very unpleased with my stay and the way I was treated for doing absolutely nothing wrong. He is profiling me based off how I look.Initial Complaint

Hello, I'm trying to reach ****** *** Corporate Office. The number I found on line is to a ********* **** I'm not sure this is their correct email. I made reservations for two nights at the ****** *** in Sanford Florida. I live in Florida and the Scottish Highland Games were in Winter Springs for the 14 and 15 of January. Reservations were for friday night and saturday night. There was in error in the paper work. Not entered correctly or something. I checked in Friday Night. Next day I didn't go to the event early because I wasn't feeling well. So decided to sleep in and go later. At around 11:am there is a knock on the door that wakes me up. And it's the cleaning service asking if I'm staying. I was still asleep so I was confused as to why I'm being asked. I said, I'm staying I have a reservation until Sunday. So, the lady tells me I'm on the checkout list and that I need to go down stairs to let them know. I asked if I can just call from the room. At this point I start to feel uncomfortable. Wondering why such mix-up. The phone in the room doesn't have a press 1 for front desk. And I couldn't figure out how to work the phone. So reached for my cell to call the front desk when the room phone rang and it was the front desk gal. She doesn't say good morning or anything. Just a very unpleasant person telling me that I either need to check out and check back in after 3pm. I told her I have a reservation until Sunday. She just said you need to come down and let us know wether you are staying or going. I managed to say "you are rude" and she hangs up on me. I call back to find out what is going on... At this point still have asleep and confused. The front desk person proceeds to tell me "I don't want to here a ******* word from you. You either come down checkout or I call the police." She hung up on me again. I was in total shock that I would be treated this way. So decided I wasn't staying. Got my bag ready and left. I got down to the front desk asked the woman wearing sweats no name tag if she was the one I talked to, room 209, she said yes. I flung the key on the counter. I started to say "you are very rude" she immediately yelled at me to "get the **** out or I'll call the police" She must have said that to me about 3 to 4 times in a row. I went in my car and I called the police my self because I have never been treated this horribly, with so much hate and disrespect in my entire life. I have no idea what was wrong with her but something definitely was. I tried to get her name but she said she is the manager and she can do whatever she wants and that they would never get rid of her because she has been there 18 years. I told the police officer every detail and he gave me event number so that ****** *** can use that number when they contact police for additional information and time to help them figure out who was at the front desk. It had to be somewhere 11am to 12noon because it was 11:59am when I got done talking to police officer I would like a refund for $102.98 + 75.00= $179.98. I don't know where the 75.00 came from but these are the charges on my credit card. In addition to this awful experience to what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend of Scottish fun. I was too distraught to make my event for my hands were shaking and felt sick to my stomach after this horrific assault of words. She was screaming at me with such vile. So, in addition to hotel refund I'm asking for $50.00 the cost of tickets for missing my event and $1000.00 for the distress, anxiety and depression this has now set me on a spiraling down course. I'm on medication for depression. I cannot imagine why anyone would employ such an unprofessional individual. I can understand a paper mistake. We are all human. But this treatment is totally unacceptable.
