I took in my car, a Kia Rio, on March 19, 2024, to be fixed. The check engine light was on and the car was not starting after filling the tank with gas, unless I revved the engine by pressing on the gas pedal. The other issue was that the engine was losing power when driving. Sunset Kia returned my car to me March 20, 2024, and the person named ***** told me the above-described problems were fixed (see attached copy of bill with itemization details). It is now March 22, 2024. I've been calling Sunset Kia repeatedly, once/twice a day. The call is answered by a woman who asks what department I'd like to be transferred to, and every day, I ask for the service department, where I've left a message each time. No one has bothered to call me back, and the issue with my car has not been resolved, even though I paid in full for the cost of the supposed repair. I am currently on the road, driving to my home in North Carolina, which I did explain to the service tech, as well as on the phone when I made this appointment. The very next morning after Sunset Kia returned my car to me, the check engine light went on. I left this detail in the voicemail message, asking what to do. No return call. Now that I have been driving, the car is starting to lose power as I am driving on the highway, which was one of the things that was supposedly repaired. I have not yet filled my gas tank fully, and yet, just filling the tank to 3/4 full, I've had to rev the gas pedal just to make the car start/not stall. I stopped at an auto parts shop and had them run the diagnostic code machine, and two codes appeared, please see the photos of these codes, as they appeared on the diagnostic machine. Sunset Kia sent me on my way without even bothering to check simple coding to be sure they had resolved the issue that they had claimed to fix; a simple run of diagnostics would have certainly shown them this information. I am asking for the full amount that I paid for the repairs, that did nothing to resolve the issues for which I had brought my car in.

I brought my car into Kia a year ago, claiming I am losing a quart of oil every week, Kia service has claimed it is normal for my 2018 car to loose a quart of oil every 1K miles - gave me an oil change and put me on my way. I have since been getting an oil top off by a local mechanic every two weeks. And took it to an additional mechanic who each state this is an engine problem. When I called Kia this year, they said I needed an oil consumption test, to include an oil change, and a check up every 1K miles for 4K miles if they have any chance of helping. I just went for my first 1K check up, and am completely out of oil - and told I do have an issue but as I am not the first owner of the car (bought from hertz renal cars) that an oil assumption test that they insisted on doing, would not be under an engine warranty issue. If this was the case, this should have been addressed before charging me for this unneeded test. Then after telling me I have an engine problem and I have no oil and the oil consumption test is complete after the first check up, they didn't even fill up my oil and let me drive off their service lot without oil in my engine.
