They were hired on March 17 2023 to replace roof. Tear off old shingles replace plywood, 2x2 where needed take out 4 dips. We paid $4000.00 up front. When the permit and notice of commencement were put up on house. I looked at it to be sure all was correct. Well the noc was not my name address and all was correct but she put Kelly ****** on it. My last name Kelly my boyfriends last name ******. She notarized noc that that Kelly ****** signed it in front of her and showed a drivers license. My noc was signed Judith k Kelly. When i called her out on it not being my name one of her crew came and pulled it. I already had copies. I waited for correct noc never showed up. They started tearing off roof but the paperwork wasn't correct. She sent text that the signed paper was a Kelly Potter the paper clearly says ******. Said she got hers KP all corrected but I have not seen a corrected one. I have called the city the county circuit clerk and inspections. As of today still not corrected and they have not filed 2 other papers, where was it disposed at and if the plywood was done correctly. This all needs to be done before there is a final inspection which is 2 months out.. All places have notes about this needing to be done plus correct noc. They are now stating that they want final payment before there is a final inspection. They also stated that all paperwork and permit were correct. They also didn't give us a notice of change order that would of showed new amount, some what higher then previous. I want all of this to be legal with my name correctly and all other paperwork done before they get a payment. He also wants me to sign new papers of new charge, that should of been done first. Ive enclosed paper work . By saying finish the job I mean all paperwork that is needed by government to be correct and done. They will not do a final inspection with out all of that done. As you can see the one I signed has not been recorded.

NOC/Permitting – This item was corrected immediately once the error was noted.  It is rare something like this happens but appreciate you contacting us on the matter.  As you know, we had you sign an NOC and that was forwarded to the county.  This process is very slow in Lee County bet we did receive a notice that the corrected NOC was recorded on 5/12/2023.  Please feel free to contact Lee County to confirm.  This, however, did not cause a delay in the job or change the permit number for the work performed on your home.  Attached is a copy showing the dry-in inspection was performed and passed on 4/21/2023. We are pending the final inspection that will take place per the schedule from Lee County's building department.  We have no control over this schedule.

Debris – receipts are kept and submitted to the County for every job where the debris is hauled away within Lee County.  We provide them to the building department to close the permit per typical instructions from Lee County.

Plywood – all sheathing is installed per the latest FBC.  Photos are taken showing the nailing pattern and provided for inspections.  Engineers are contacted for verification when needed.

Payment – final payment is due at the completion of every project.  Slow processes that are not under our control do not warrant a delay of payment.

Change order – communication was made of the pre-existing damage and pricing was made verbally to you and via text.  Photos of the extensive amount of damage were taken to provide proof and documentation of what was needed to justify our pricing.  These have all been provided to you along with the amount we reduced to show that we were working in good faith, understand the situation and needing to be upfront about the cost.  This type of situation cannot be determined until the roof is opened, and we cannot close the roof until the repairs are made.  This is an unfortunate situation but one that has to be handled quickly in order to secure/protect the home from the elements.  We have the texts regarding the conversation regarding the additional work.  The owner of the company met with you to discuss the pricing of the additional services directly with you on March 27th which is the date the work started, and the issues were discovered.

Please feel free to reach out to our office if you have any further questions.  We will continue to update you regarding the inspections when they are known.
