    On May 6, 2022, I received an e-mail claiming I had won a free foot massager and that I would only need to pay $7.95 for shipping. On May 11, 2022, a charge of $63.71 was billed to my card without my knowledge. I called customer support requesting directions for returning the foot massager and a refund of the $63.71. The representative told me that the foot massager could not be returned, and that the $63.71 was for a subscription for Consumer Direct Savings. Neither the email I received nor the checkout page mentioned a subscription being including, so I requested the subscription to be cancelled. She told me it had been cancelled and provided me this cancellation number: *****. Lastly, she told me that I would receive an e-mail with instructions for getting a refund. I have, as of yet, not received the e-mail. I went to the Super Tech Gadget Store website and found their refund policy. It said nothing about disqualifying conditions for returning a purchase and simply said to request an item return number by email. I tried contacting the vendor via e-mail, but I only received a reply redirecting me to the customer service phone number. I called again to request a refund. After I was told the same thing as in the previous call, I mentioned the website's return policy, and the other end of the call went silent for nearly 5 minutes. I hung up and called again. A different representative told me they were a third party call center and couldn't help me with my issue.

    I completed a survey though walmart for a gift card of $50. I read of each sentences I did not see about being charge if and additional $29.99; only for shipping $7.99

Below are the terms and conditions the customer agreed to upon purchasing the Foot Massager. "In addition to the $7.95 S&H I am paying now, I understand and agree with the following: By clicking the Order Now button, I will immediately be charged only $7.95 S&H to ship my FREE Extreme Foot Massager, which is a welcoming gift for joining the Consumer Direct Savings store. I will also be charged $29.99 for my 1st-month membership within the next 48 hours, but with the FREE Extreme Foot Massager and the $125 Gift Card to the best consumer gadgets club on the web, it is really costing me nothing to become a member! That by being a member of the Consumer Direct Savings store, I will receive the $125 Gift Card EVERY MONTH and will have access to direct-from-factory savings on hundreds of products! That my credit will be billed $29.99 monthly for my membership.
