Brought my vehicle in for an oil change. Left it there in the morning and was told the vehicle would be ready by 4pm same day. I asked how much I would expect to pay, the male associate notified me around $50. Upon arriving for pick up, I was informed my vehicle was almost ready by a female associate. A little after 5 (shop closes at 5), a male associate pulled my car around and a female associate told me when checking out, the cost of the visit was $344.67. I asked why the price was so outrageously expensive and the female associate said he did repairs on my vehicle. I told the female associate I never asked for repairs nor was I ever informed of anything needed to be done. She told me they would give me a discount but repairs were already made and I owe the total cost to have my car released back to me. I never signed a work order or estimate. This business did what they wanted and had me pay hundreds more then what was quoted. I do not know what to do next.

I contacted **** ****** (see correspondence below) as soon as we heard of her dissatisfaction.  She was to come to the shop and I was going to refund her money for the repair.  We did talk before the repair and I told her what we had found and that we ordered the part because it was late in the day.  I also explained she did not have to have the repair that I could return the part without any additional cost.  She asked us to go ahead and complete the job for her.

When I read her follow up complaint, I immediately offered to make it right.  She has never contacted me since.  We have been in business over 20 years, we pride ourselves on honesty and integrity.  We aim to make sure people are safe in their vehicles when they leave our lot.

Below is the correspondence we had with **** ****** as well as a follow up phone call:

Good afternoon, I am actually not happy at all about my experience with Atlantic Automotive & Quick Lube. When I dropped off my vehicle on Friday, 5/27, I requested an oil change. I was not called, texted, notified, nor did I sign for any extra services on my vehicle. I was never even given an estimate. When I showed up to pay, I was charged $344.67 for services that I DID NOT request not sign for. In the state of FL (******* ***, **** ** *******) if a vehicle service is over $100, it is required by law to obtain written consent from the customer before service. This did not happen and I was forced to pay well above over what I originally asked for. I have filed a case with the better business bureau and disputed the charge based on unlawful practice. I would like a refund for the services. I am happy to pay for my oil change that I requested but I will not be paying for the services that I neither requested nor approved.
