My wife and I have a trust fund set up through this place; I don't know how this place stays in business, they set up a budget with you then when you need your money and go through all the paperwork that they ask you to do to get a pair of pants etc... they turn you down. They act like it's their money you're spending. Now they have gone bankruptcy and lost everyone's money.

I rarely due reviewes;however, after my experience today I have to. Please be aware!!! My daughter has had a trust with The Center for YEARS and each year it gets worst and worst! My daughter has a budget set with them;however, it seems like they hardly ever want to pay for reimbursements and are slow to move to purchase requested items. I've sent in documents of proof of services for my daughter's personal care only to be meet with phone calls indicating a receipt, bank statement, invoice that says paid and pictures is not enough. I asked for the trust to pay for the service direct and confirmed that this was possible. Her case manager ******* (I'll get to later) reassured me it was so I booked the appointment a few eeks out. A few days before the appointment I called because the invoice was still not paid. I received a voicemail indicating that in order for the invoice to be paid I would have to provide a w9 and a check would be mailed out to the service provider. First prior to scheduling the appointment I asked what was needed and all I was told was the link to the service provider there was no mentioned of a w9 or a check issued! Second I was ASSURED that the trust could make the payment online. Third when was the trust planning to share this information. Had I not called in I would not have known. Additionally in the days of websites, direct pay, cash app and ***** was told would be able to pay the invoice directly. Now on to the case managers. Many are not people friendly and are very racist. One of her first manager, ******, had the nerve to question my use of products and beautician for my child who is African American's hair because "all his required was shampoo". She had another who questioned my choice of African Carribean dance over ballet. Her current manager ******* started off being friendly but quickly turned into a passive aggressive, snarky, liar! I will be so happy when my daughter ages out of this BS! They are more hurtful than helpful!

This place is a joke. I'd like to know how anyone talked with them when No One will answer the phone or return a call from several voice mails I'd left or emails I've sent. And by reading these complaints, seems like they really don't want to help any of their trustees. So far, I've had the same kinda experiences. We will see if I still get ignored after my review. Have a nice day!
