I had 2 HVCA systems installed by this company! One of the techs discharged the unit in my grass killing my grass! Then the other tech smeared dirt all over my walls when installing the thermostat. Then the thermostat went bad 2 weeks later, it took them 6 months for them to replace it. Fast forward 2 years they did not install the float switches correctly and the system instead of shutting off over flowed onto my kitchen ceiling! Dont hire these guys, learn from my mistakes, hire professionals!Review from Stephanie C

THIRD GENERATION PLUMB AND MECH ****** looked at a plumbing toilet issue under a home warranty contact, for a 25 year old toilet with a crack in the back. They wrote up cracked back, I signed, they told me they'd call after they submitted paperwork with the warranty company to do a followup, and left.They entered it as 'misuse' to the warranty company, for a crack in a 25 year old toilet that's about 15 years past it's expiration date so warranty company isn't concerning it. On top of that they never called to explain or do a followup. They are shady, underhanded business practices, and have bad / dropped communication. Working with them is more time and stress than help and I'd rather eat a chainsaw than reach out the them myself and compound the time, stress, and filching money they will do. Don't recommend. Quicker to just give them you money and then hire someone who will actually fix your home.Review from Sharona O

DO NOT ACCEPT THIS VENDOR IF THEY SEND THEM TO YOU!!! You have been warned. ...Had a broken pipe inside my house. They didn't want to deal with it because it was behind a step and told the warranty company it was outside so they wouldn't cover it. Wouldn't provide photos or report to me. EXTREMELY DISHONEST!Entered my property without calling as requested or without anyone being there as required.Company representative repeatedly called me honey. I explained that as a homeowner and a customer I did not want to be called honey, to which she replied I dont know what type of episode youre having today, honey and hung up on me. They represent Old Republic Home Warranty. You should expect this type of disrespect when dealing with this disaster of a company.Review from Thelma A

We called AHS because we have a plumbing issue in our home. AHS sent out Third Generation Plumbing. The technicians looked at the issue, told us what needs to be fixed. We called our home insurance because AHS covers only so much. Our insurance company said they need an estimate before third generation can do the work which is understandable and my husband knows this because he works for an insurance company. Well he called Third Generation and the secretary told him that estimates are only given AFTER the work is done. REALLY??? My husband said that's not how estimates work. The secretary said, "Well I'm glad you know more than me" and hung up. There is a lot of work needed to be done but after how Third Generation treated my husband and after reading similar reviews, you will NOT be getting the job from ** which would have paid you nicely!I am reporting this company to the state attorney general office, and the ******* ********************************************* that licenses plumbers.Review from BRIAN D

Terrible customer service experience. Would give them zero stars if I could. I have now spoken to multiple representatives about the same issue and was treated horribly on both occasions. In two separate conversations, their representatives just refused to engage in a logical and rational conversation about an issue on which we disagreed. In one case, the rep accused me of asking them to do something unethical (which I absolutely was not), and then the second rep just argued and talked over me before hanging up on me. I will never consider using this company.

Should AHS assign this company to your contact, request a different company. The initial plumber, who was sent to my home determined that a new water heater would address my water pressure issue. I paid for the water heater and they installed it, needless to say the water pressure did not improve. I left a message that night for both this company and AHS and followed up with phone calls the next morning. A few days later, the plumber who installed the water heater came out to check it and along with instructions from his manager attempted to troubleshoot. Although this plumber was courtesy and professional, they were not able to resolve the issue. The following morning I called this company and spoke to the plumber's manager. When I asked about a recourse to the $ I payed to fix the issue that was not fixed, the plumber's manager actually tried to convinced me that as a result of the new water heater they installed, water pressure in my home improved. He was actually trying to justify $ I paid for a water heater that they said would fix the issue when it clearly did not. Unscrupulous.Review from DeWayne B

AHS sent out TGP to take a look at a leaking hot water heater. The order the TGP sent to AHS included $900+ of work and equipment (including a drain pan, pipe mods, expansion tank, and other things) that was not covered under my warranty. My home was built less than 5 years ago so I could not believe that the current configuration of my hot water tank did not meet code. I paid out of my pocket for another plumber to come out and take a look and said all of the extra items that TGP sent to AHS that had to be done was not accurate at all, and none of these things needed to be done. I filed a a complaint with AHS telling them the unethical business practices that TGP engages in. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Review from Benjamin M

AHS send these clowns out to fix my dripping faucets instead they report to AHS handles broken by force. Picture show my faucets are fine on their site. Instead they want us to replace a new ones at their cost $850 for 2 handle faucets, one in the master bathroom and other in the laundry room.Review from Sandra A

AHS sent out Third Generation *********************************************** to fix our garbage disposal. When he arrived, he told us he didn't carry that brand (which is available at Lowes/Home Depot). His disposals are smaller. When he puts it in, we would have to pay him $100 out of our pocket because he would have to change our pipes to fit with the disposal. Needless to say we denied their work. WHAT A SCAM!!! Shame on AHS for sending out a company like them. Even though we denied their work and told AHS, they still charged us $125 service fee!Review from K. T.

I was referred by my home warranty company for a leak at my mother house in Florida . I live in another state . I was told they would get back to me in four hours on a Saturday. I was never called . By the time monday rolled around . I get an urgent call by here care giver that the house is flooded with water. I called them during business hours . At 8:15 (website says hours are 8 to 5 ) A very rude girl told me they were not open . When I inguired why I was not called back ., since their website does say they are open 24/7 for urgent plumbing repairs.the response was that is “none of my business.” My mom now has to have the carpet the carpet pulled up .Third Generation Plumbing and Mechanical Co., Inc. THIRD GENERATION PLUMBING WAS ASSIGNED BY AMERICAN HOME SHIELD ( HOMEOWNERS WARRANTY COMPANY) ON 7/24/23. APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR 7/25/23 AND CONFIRMED WITH THE HOMEOWNER THE EVENING BEFORE. TECHNICIAN WAS ONSITE AT THE PROPERTY FOR 20 MINUTES WHEN HOMEOWNER CALLED BACK TO CANCEL APPOINTMENT STATING REPAIRS HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE, ANY FURTHER COMPLAINTS SHOULD BE REFERENCED TO AMERICAN HOME SHIELD.Customer Response

I cancelled the night before with AHS. Due to all the negative reviews on google . I decided I did not want this company at the house. Replying with Blame only proves my reason for cancellation , the main issue is . Which still has not been addressed Why does website say 24/7 plumbing service and I was told this does not happen for them
