After Hurricane *** in Sept. 2022, my insurance company instructed **** Global to come out and conduct an inspection on my two boat docks which got destroyed in the storm. My homeowners policy does cover boat docks as additional structures. Anyway, supposedly a professional or forensic engineer attends, takes photos and makes notes. By the way, this is over 4 months after the storm. I decide to show him a bunch of videos and photos taken during and after the storm. All ************* stamped. Some of the videos show very clearly that the docks are broken apart during the wind (at around 2pm) and not by any flooding or storm surge which did not arrive until around 5pm-6pm. All the videos and photographs that were provided proved this beyond any doubt. The root cause and the damage was 100% from the hurricane force winds (topping 140+mph!).A few weeks later I get to see a copy of the report which was sent to my insurer. It made no mention whatsoever of the videos and photos I supplied. Instead, it concluded that my boat docks were destroyed by flooding and/or storm surge. The claim was denied by my insurer as they would only go by the content of the report. I protested to my insurer who seemed surprised that **** would have come to that conclusion and not mentioned my photos and videos. I complained to ****, but of course to save face, they won't retract or edit their report. The content of the report is not factual and is totally biased. It was deliberately written in favor of the insurer so they could deny the claim. My case was handled fraudulently and **** should be investigated. When the engineer came to my property, he knew exactly what he was there to do. Ignore my crucial evidence and find a way to write up his report so the insurance company didn't have to pay out. They were provided with *************** that prove my boat docks were destroyed by hurricane force winds before 2.13PM on 9/28/22. The storm surge did not arrive until 3-4 hrs later that day.
