I'm terribly disappointed in this company. For the time they have represented me, not only have they not accomplished anything. Now I wish no longer be connected to them. Also a letter saying so.

We made contact with Mr. ******** on November 26, 2024. We spoke about his concerns and have set up a conference call with him, our office, and the VA on Tuesday, December 3rd. Our hope is that following that call, it will provide more clarity to the veteran about the status of his case and that we'll be able to work toward a successful outcome together.

On April 30th I signed an agreement with **** for **** it is now October 30th and nothing has been done to file for my VA Disability, I mailed them my Medical records from the VA myself because their representative told me that the ** has not sent them my Medical records, I mailed them certified signature return and they received them on October 22. When I called again the girl ***** told me that they received them on November 1st but have not reviewed them yet she told me that my Medical records were not going to help me when it comes to filing my claim she told me that she did not mean to say that and yet repeated that statement several times when I questioned her again she became very rude and hung up the phone, this is the second time she has done so. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she simply laughed at me and said he was not available. My Attorney's name is Mr. ***** J. ******. Nothing has been done and my Medical records clearly show that my system's are Service related. VA CLAIMS FILE NO. CSS555923540

We spoke with the veteran on 11/5/24 to address his concerns. We updated him on the status of his case and he is aware of the next steps we'll take going forward together.  It is our understanding that this matter has been resolved, but we will defer to the veteran to confirm.

I have been a client with Rep for Vets for 15 years I have tried multiple times contacting them and no return. They have been the worst on communication and pursuing my claims. In my opinion they seem to milk the situation and provide the bare minimum to prolong the outcome of the claims to receive more money. I have done all the leg work and get no information back. I also have to contact the ** to get information. I highly recommend not using this organization instead do your research and file on your own. Yes I said 15 years! This company has put me on the ledge. After reading other reviews it seems that Im not the only one. This company needs to be reprimanded or not able to do business because they are Scammers!

We have spoken with the client on a couple of different occasions since the complaint was submitted to address his concerns. As it stands now, it is our understanding that the issues raised have been addressed and resolved through our discussions. We have reviewed all aspects of his case together, and feel there is full transparency on the next steps going forward. We believe he is in agreement that we've been able to resolve the concerns together, but will of course defer to him to confirm this. If there is anything further at all that we can assist with on the matter right now,  please let us know as we remain committed to working directly with him on it.

    Complaint: 22394474

I am rejecting this response because:
The individual involved with my case while I filed this complaint called me and yelled at me numerous times, this not being the first over the past year. As I was inquiring the issues with my claim he told me that he was not here to talk about my claims and that I need to have this matter resolved before moving forward with communication about my claims. I strongly feel that he has poor client service and has put his company in jeopardy. I was then contacted by another client service individual who took the time to investigate and we together had conference calls with the ** about my claims. At this point we are appealing one claim that has been on appeal for years and the other claim was a clerical error by the VA that we will address but wont have any response for at least 30 days. ****** the second claims representative has been helpful thus far. I will take back the words of calling them scammers and fake but will not forget the way **** treated me. Again it has been 15 years as a client. I just want this to be to be completed in a timely manner and treated like a Veteran should be treated or would like to take my business elsewhere.
    Sincerely,

Im a woman veteran who was seeking help with my VA compensation. Reps *** Vets claim to help veterans. Not so, A year went by with no results. Bad communication. Never any calls , I had to call them to check on the progress and was promised it takes a while. Problem was they never filed the paper work at all. A waste of valuable time. My actual rep changed 4 times and was very confusing trying to see what was happening with my case. *** since left them and would not recommend using them.. Veterans Beware.

I hired rep for Vets to help me increase my va dissability rating. They have messed up my paper work, missed deadlines and now won't send me a release letter. I need to get a release letter to hire a new lawyer. Multiple calls and the rep for Vets will not send a release letter!

    **************,
Since the time we started working on your case in November of 2021, all appeal deadlines have been met.Additionally, the VA has processed decisions in response to all the appeals, which reflects the fact the paperwork was completed accurately and on time.

Last year, you communicated to our office that you were considering changing representation. Since that time, we had follow-up conversations to discuss the matter and you told us you were opting to have us continue working on your case. During a prior conversation in January of this year, we informed you we had recently submitted an appeal for you, and advised on some next steps that should be taken to help with the development of the claims. From our standpoint, we believed there was a clear, common understanding of the way ahead. However, in your most recent discussion with our office yesterday, you communicated you would like to go in a different direction. Given this, we will proceed with closing your file.In the meantime, its important for us to take the opportunity to mention that a release letter is not required for you to change representation. You are free to do this at any time. Should you have any further questions in the immediate future, please contact us.

Their website and ******** page says that they help with **** (Combat Related Special Compensation). When I called, they said they would not help since I already have a 100% through the VA. The VA claims and the **** claims are two different entities. Their website and ******** page does not say they will only help if they can help with your ** disability claim. For those of ** with a 100% already, they refuse to help. This is not helping vets and this is a false advertising. I spoke with ******, **** and ******.

    ********************,
We have tried contacting you via phone a few times over the past couple of days with the hope wed be able to discuss this matter with you and provide clarification. As weve been unsuccessful in our attempts to reach you, we believe it is important to offer a timely response in this forum for you.

Concerning the **** program, there is no verbiage on our website or other platforms indicating we help with this. Rather, our website offers information about what **** is, the eligibility requirements, and how one *** apply. Since the program is not a VA disability benefit, it does not fall within the scope of services we provide. As you might suspect, we receive a wide range of inquiries and questions from Veterans on all sorts of topics beyond just disability benefits. Given this, on our website,we aim to provide updates and information for some of those topics that *** be helpful to them to learn more about.

At Rep for Vets, we focus solely on getting Veterans the maximum VA disability benefits theyre ***********. While we are unable to assist every Veteran, we try to support as many as possible with the resources we have. We hope this response is helpful and encourage you to call us back if you still have questions or concerns.

The Rep for Vets helped me file my claim with the VA. It turns out that the VA overpaid the lawyers, by $826, and have been trying to get a hold of them for the last four months to refund this money to me. The VA has email correspondence with *********************** and *************************, but these women have not responded appropriately to VA request to allow the refund to occur. I have called numerous times to speak with the Rep for Vets and am always told the people I need to speak with are out on lunch. Whether it be 10am or 2pm, the people I need to speak to "just left for lunch". When I have spoken to ****** at Rep for Vets, she tells me she has had no correspondence from the VA. I just want the money I am owed and ******* 4 Vets seem to want to keep it.

    ******************,
From the time you contacted our office in January regarding this issue, we have discussed and reviewed the matter with you via phone on five different occasionsincluding yesterday. Like you, we have a great desire to get this fee issue resolved. Unfortunately, and as we've explained to you, the central issue in this case remains that the VA still hasnt sent our office an official notification regarding their error. Also, since we arent your representative of record, the VA will not release anything related to your case to us even if we request it.

Under their policy, the VA is required to send an official notice to our office before they take any further action toward resolving their self-identified overpayment error. In the correspondence the VA sent you (which you shared with us), they reference this part of their process specifically.

We understand youve tried contacting the VA about this, and we encourage you to continue to do so until they act. As soon as they send us formal notice, we will contact you and work to get this resolved with them right away.

    Complaint: 21449594

I am rejecting this response because:

I reached out to the Rep for Vets to ask about the letter I received from the VA on December 1st, stating they were overpaid. I spoke with *********************** and asked if they had received any information from the VA about this issue and she said no. ****** asked for the documents I received from the VA and I sent it to them on January 31st.

I called at least once a week in February to verify they received the documents and for information, but was forced to leave messages for ****** and **** because at all hours they were in lunch. At 10 am they were on lunch and at 2 pm they were on lunch. They did not call me back. Finally in March I argued with the secretary this point and that I would not leave a mesaage and wanted to speak with someone and finally got ****** on the phone and was told they had still had not received any info and when I express my frustration with not getting call backs or any information she denys not calling me back and tell me she is doing everything correctly.

I then speak with the VA and they say they have received emails from ****** and they responded with they cannot disclose information to her, but only to the lawyer ************** ****** never mentioned this reply. Why? At that point I was done trying to pry information out of the Rep for Vets so I filed my complaint.

They went a whole month without returning my calls or reaching out with an update. The only time they have reached out to me without my calling them first is after I made this complaint. Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication ****** argues with me that she has been doing everything correct and has done a great job communicating with me. They care more about their ego than the veteran who just wants this issue resolved.

Their response to my complaint is false.

    Sincerely,

    *****************************

    ******************,
As we previously explained, the issue here remains that this problem is the result of an error the VA made and has identified. After you brought this to our attention, we tried to make inquiries to the VA regarding the matter, but they will not disclose any information to us because we arent your representative of record. Given this, we must restate that unfortunately there isnt anything further we can do to initiate action from them. When youve reached out seeking updates from us over the past months, weve consistently advised you there isnt any new information or updates that we can provide as the situation hasnt changed. When the VA adheres to its policy and sends us an official notice (outlined in the letter they sent you), we will respond accordingly to help get things resolved expeditiously.Regarding the past phone messages and your communication concerns, were sorry you are dissatisfied with the response time to your inquiries. We have tried our best to investigate the matter and get back to you promptly.  In our effort to support as many veterans as possible, our concentration of resources is focused on the active cases we represent daily. Now that weve been able to reach a common understanding of what needs to happen next to get this issue resolved, we are hopeful the VA will act on this as soon as possible.

    Complaint: 21449594

I am rejecting this response because they refuse to take any responsibility for there lack of communication or effort. I reached out to them about this issue at the end of January. I called multiple times in February and received no call backs. Not one call me back the entire the month of February. I created this complaint because of the lack of communication. When I finally got a hold of someone in March, this was me calling them again, not them calling me, ****** told me they still had no information from the VA, yet the VA told me there had been emails exchanged between ****** and themselves and they told me the dates and what was said. The lack of communication and transparency in information shared by the Rep for Vets lead me to believe they were not putting any effort into my issue. The VA responded to ****** that they could not disclose my information to her without the filing of a 2122A form on the February 5th. This was never mentioned to me. Again, she told me, in March, they had no new information form the VA. I would have gladly filled out this form so ****** could represent me, but this was never communicated to me.

My frustration is that the Rep for Vets have put what feels like no effort into returning the overpaid amount. It feels like they have put no effort into this because, first, they would not return my calls. After this complaint was made, they call, but before it was made, I was ignored. Two, because they only share new information with me after I learn it from the VA and bring it up to them. My experience this past 3 months with the Rep for Vets has been bad and in every conversation in March they have dismissed these complaints and told me they have done everything correctly and been in constant communication and that I am wrong.

I do not except their response.

    Sincerely,

I sent rep 4 Vets a certified letter return receipt telling them I was terminating them as my disability rep. ***** contacting them numerous times by phone they finally returned my receipt over 30 days later. What they did was continued to call me about my case. They purposely failed to contact the VA informing them that they were no longer my reps. I sent the letter on Feb 13 2023, which they received it on Feb 16 2023. Why did they not inform the VA? I tried to file a new claim but can't because these people are still listed as my reps therefore blocking my attempt for a new claim

    Business response

    09/05/2023

A few months ago, we received a letter from the VA advising us that we were no longer your representative of record as of February 17, 2023. The letter was addressed to you, so you should have received a copy confirming your requested change had been processed by the VA.  As such, we currently have no involvement with any of your claims, and you are able to engage in the claims process however you choose.

In our experience, veterans often accidentally appoint a new representative although that is not their desire.  For that reason, we call our clients upon receiving notice that we are no longer the representative of record.  When this happened the first time, we called you to discuss the matter. At that time, you voiced your desire to pursue your claims with us. Subsequently, when we received the second notice, we wanted to contact you to again to make certain your decision was final.

Further, your statement regarding the filing of a new claim is inaccurate.  A veteran may file a new claim on their own at any time regardless of current representation status.

Per our previous reply, we received a letter from the VA informing us that we were no longer your representative of record as of February 17, 2023. The letter was addressed to you, so you should have received a copy confirming your requested change had been processed by the VA.  As such, we currently have no involvement with any of your claims. You made the decision and filed it with the VA. There is nothing being done to "stall", as we have not been your representative since February 17, 2023. This has been explained to you multiple times in recent phone calls with our office. We have emailed you another copy of the referenced letter from the VA. There is no further correspondence to be sent regarding this.
