Review: Disappointed with ***************** ************** ****** at this office is very professional and knowledgeable, I cannot overlook the significant issues with the office management. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by an extremely long wait time. My appointment was at 1.45 and I left the office at 3.45.Its clear that the staff and scheduling processes are not well-organized. This level of inefficiency is unacceptable, especially for patients who may have tight schedules or other commitments such as I did.Although I appreciated the professionalism of the Dr. ****** , the poor management detracted from the overall experience. I hope the office takes steps to improve their scheduling and reduce unnecessary wait times for future patients.Review from Charles R.

Im 75 years old and live on my social security under thirteen thousand dollars a year. Center for site accepted my social security and **************** as secondary insurance. I paid a 300 dollar copay for each eye cataract copay with and assurance that was all I would pay. Since my surgery I met with the office people about the extra money they are trying to collect and received assurance they would contact billing. I am now receiving calls almost daily trying to collect extra money for the surgery rather than accepting my ******** and ****************. These practices are underhanded and not right. All they needed to do was inform me from the start that they really dont accept my insurance and I would go elsewhere. Businesses especially doctors should not deceive the elderly about there services and practices. Center for site ****** seemed like a reputable business upon my due diligence investigation them but guess again.Review from Sandra R

BAD experience at CFS Sarasota. Went there because I have a VERY bad cataract on one eye and wanted it removed. I chose to see one of their female doctors because I heard from friends, etc that she was great. BAD decision! After going thru all exams, etc she came in the room and informed me that before we could improve my vision by removing the cataract we HAD to do surgery on my other eye because I had a growth (Pterygium) on it. We asked many questions as to why, and NEVER got a concise answer to them. She was VERY condescending from the beginning. I informed her of issues I have with IV's, medications, etc due to a past medical issue AND the fact that I was VERY scared of any surgery on my eye (even the cataract). I was assuming she knew what she was talking about with needing the other surgery first, WRONG! Had surgery and from the next day on and the next 3 mo's, I experienced a living he**! At my 2 week follow up she informed me I had a Virus in my eye and it was "most likely from the surgery" and "it happens". She proceeded to put me on a VERY STRONG oral medication and 7 different eye drops! Next follow up, she said it wasn't improving at which time I informed her that the oral medication was making me very ill, she didn't care. Now, she wants to "scrape/debride" my eye to send a sample to see what we are dealing with, with nothing but numbing drops! Don't ever do that! Next follow up, she never told me what "we were dealing with" and proceeded to say it had improved some and wanted me to get my blood drawn for "Plasma eye drops" and kept saying I had to stay on the oral medication "indefinitely" and continue with the 7 drops a day. Because of ALL of this, my vision was and is SO bad that none of my glasses worked anymore. She didn't care. Got my records to find out I had a STAPH infection not a VIRUS meaning the oral medication wouldn't have worked on a STAPH infection! 2nd opinion elsewhere, NO reason cataract couldn't have been done first!Review from Joe P

I wish that I would have read the Yelp and BBB reviews first. I initially went to Dr Hadland for a stye and the bill was submitted to my medical insurance. Fine, I understand. I then asked for a follow-up regular eye exam to check my vision as it has been very blurry and after the exam, they billed it once again to my medical insurance although we insisted that we have eye insurance. The girl at the front desk didn't know how to refund our copay and said the DR determines how it is billed. We asked for Dr Hadland to call us. He didn't bother. I called my insurance company today and there are now duplicate claims under my health insurance for that visit - which was a routine eye exam that I asked for. $228 each. THIS IS WRONG. When I called their billing dept, Rita informed me that it's up to the DR and she would let the branch manager know and ask her to call me. I am now reading reviews where other people have stated the same thing...they are billing your insurance and maybe they get more money that way, idk but it's looking very suspicious. I learned today that he treated me for conjunctivitis at the 2nd visit - HE NEVER MENTIONED THAT WORD. Furthermore, on the first visit, we talked about medical symptoms, the second visit should have been for my quality of vision. I think they are working the system to their benefit & should be investigated. The front staff was was extremely rude and condescending and the eyeglass dept openly told us that they are more expensive then most places. Why would I ever return??

I called about a sty in my eye. When I got there, they had me fill out the paper work, there was a page that needed me to sign in 3 places about I was getting a comprehensive eye exam. I refused to sign that page because I was there for a sty, not an eye exam. The woman told me to sign it and they would treat me for what I came in for once I was called into the exam room. I got called in, the girl started giving me the chart test...all the letters I was able to read. I told her I was there for my eye as I pointed to it, not an eye test. She blew it off and finished the eye test. She did a half *** job, I've had those test before. She knew I was getting screwed by the Center for Sight so she hurried up and got out. The next guy in a lab coat came in....I told him I was there for my eye not an eye test as I pointed to my eye......he gave me his part of a half *** eye test and told me they had me down for that as he walked me to the cashier. He gave me a referral to come back and have a consultation.....meaning more charges and nothing done again. If I was stupid enough to come back a third time, I get to have a doctor look at it. These people are scammers, they milk the old people in ****** like the cash cows they are. I've read the other reviews on here and they are very similar. This is elder abuse and should be prosecuted, where is AARP? I think ******** would be well advised to take a look into this organization..... DO NOT! COME TO THESE SCUM BAGS!!!
