we signed a contract with palmwood in july of 2021 and its been 2 years and the house is still not done.. palmwood has failed to date 16 inspections and none of the issues were ever caught by our superintendent. palmwood failed the lentil inspection on my pool wall and poured the cement anyways. the owner says no one is perfect but when the slab inspection is failed 6 times in a row its not the contractor fault its the builders fault for calling for inspection and not having the work looked at by the superintendent before calling for inspection. palmwood had the drywall delivered to my house and all of the windows were not installed and no joke my drywall sat in the Florida humidity for 3 months before it was installed and when they did install it the contractor placed the drywall on the cement i complained to palwood several times and the owner said that will not cause a mold issue and i was being to critical of there workReview from Vanessa R.

We made the unfortunate decision to have our house built with Palmwood. They said, "We can't buikd your house in the 9 months that most constructions loans are for but we can build your house in 12 months because of some of the issues with supplies and things." The deadline for my house was August 31st. They received an extension that we are paying for and the new deadline is November 30th. During this process we call, we text, we email asking for updates, asking for when work will be done, asking why something wasn't done when they said it would but get told "I'm too busy." My house has at with little change for the past month. We asked for an update, this past Wednesday and we ave still not received an answer. They are too busy to meet their own deadlines, too busy to answer questions, too busy to keep their word. I'm stuck, I have no recourse, they know it and they don't care. I would suggest you go with another builder. I expected a stressful process but the unprofessionalism and lack of communication on their part has made this experience unbearable.

Hi, I’m sorry you had to resort to filing a complaint here versus getting in touch with me (Chris G.) about issues you’re having with our company during your build. I’m very sorry the whole build process has taken much longer than we even thought when we initially told you an expected time. We have probably 30 or so other homeowners that were around the same time as your home and had major delays due to waiting on trusses, waiting on windows to come in, and waiting on the ac company to rough the house in (they were waiting on backordered ductwork). Those items literally cost us months on some homes. I will speak with Dale on the exact status of your home Monday and also see when we got your windows and HVAC as those have been the limiting factor on the houses. Once we Get those installed, we’re able to move the homes through the rest of the stages without too much issue. Now, lead times on those items have began to drop, which, is good for new houses in the process but didn’t help your home. Unfortunately, I have interacted with a individual that should be employed in another industry that does not involve customer service skill sets. The Palmwood Construction LLC sales consultant (Linda M*****) initial contact was cordial and friendly but soon her poor communication skills or lack of became apparent. The responses to email,phone,texts was always a quick text response of "I'll call you back by end of day" to which never happened. Got to the point where I contacted the business office to request a different sales consultant and they said we want to stay with her. Unfortunately, gave her a secon chance with the same results. Last response I received was on 17 March 2022, that I'm in Cocoa Beach on Spring Break (she's in her 50's.) call you Monday....never happened and that was my cue to move on and find a builder that can provide the service as expected.
Fortunately for me since I was in the initial stages of finalizing pricing for a contract, I had no funds obligated. If you intend to use Palmwood Construction LLC tread very cautiously. I have since found a builder who exhibits the customer service values that you would expect, especially when spending over 500k for construction of a home...Palmwood Construction, LLC Response

Hi Mr. ********** I appreciate your feedback but I wish you would have contacted our office and asked to speak with someone higher up before you resorted to BBB for a bad review. I personally did your lot review of a couple lots and spent time doing that and consulting with our new home consultant on your home layout and footprint. I was not aware you were waiting on her for a quote yet unfortunately, so I am sorry for that. I do feel your personal attack on her and speculating on age seems a bit unprofessional and I would suggest you reconsider leaving that if you feel you must keep the rest of this comment. Again, I can't change your experience with our company at this point unfortunately, but I wish you had at least reached out to our office to see what's going on versus just getting upset and posting a bad review. We have many more people working in our company if you felt one person let you down.
