    We had been clients with Animal Care since 2016 at which time we brought our new puppy there to be examined. We continued bringing our dog there for all his appointments and had a good rapport with all of the staff until this June 2022 when we stopped by their office on our way home from the groomer to make an appointment for our dog to have drops put in his ears. This has been an ongoing procedure done by Animal Care and was not an emergency. There were no cars in the parking lot when we arrived. My husband went in and explained that our dog was shaking his head and needed the drops put in his ears as usual. The girl at the desk told him to bring the dog in which we did. When we checked out we noticed that the bill was $172.52. I asked the clerk why the bill was so high and was told that is was correct. When I got home and examined the charges and noticed we were charged for a walk in visit of $25.00 and urgent visit 98.00 as well as for the ear drops $35.57 and clean level 1 $13.95. We were not told at any time we stopped by that we would be charged for a walk in and urgent care visit and there were no notices posted regarding walk ins. If we had known we would have made an appointment for another time. It was NOT an emergency and they were well aware of that. We thought they were just being accommodating since no other clients were there at that time. I called several times and left messages to speak to the manager about this but got a call back from front desk person. Very rude calling me honey and telling me they are not refunding us for the walk in and urgent care charges. I was furious with her and she knew it! Two days later we received a letter from the Vet that they are no longer going to see our dog. Wow! We want our money back.

    Routine appointments have a two week wait. Charges were explained at discharge. Most clinics in the area are charging a work in fee. Client very rude to office manager so client was released from our practice to find another practice.

    The office manager was rude to me. We have talked to many of our friends who have dogs and they had bad experiences with Animal Care and even though it is close to their house they choose to go elsewhere. I would not recommend Animal Care to anyone. After all the money we spent for the ear drops my dog still had an ear infection. We took him to another vet and he is doing much better. The new Vet will be recommended to my friends.
