I am in the same boat as the other reviewers. I received a letter in the mail and really got my hopes up high thinking that this would be a good resource for my son for college. After attending the workshop, I was even more enthused. I should have noticed a red flag when we were informed that payment had to be made that day on the spot, but I didn't and paid the full cost. My son has had one appointment in which he was informed that he would receive specific scholarship opportunities, recommendations, and the schools appeal process after doing their review and research. My son sent all the requested information and was told he would receive information within 10 business days. It has now been 16 business days and nothing. Not even an email about the delay. My son also scheduled a second appointment with a counselor which was supposed to take place yesterday (4/19), but he received an email indicating that the counselor could not make it and if he could reschedule for today (4/20) or another time. My son responded and indicated that today would work. The counselor never called (and no email was sent to him).We were also told at the workshop that if we were not satisfied, we could get a refund (3 days was never mentioned). I am more disappointed in myself in allowing myself to be vulnerable and sign up without doing any research, especially to pay $1995 on the spot. Like someone else stated we are just looking for our children to have the opportunity to attend college with the least amount of the financial burden as possible. I would recommend anyone to PLEASE do your due diligence FIRST before signing up for a program like this. I will see if my money will be refunded or if this will end up being a costly lesson learned.

UPDATE: I spoke with someone at Help for College Now and they have issued me a full refund. I am happy they agreed that in my case the counselor's should have not signed my son up as he's a senior and had already committed to a college. He also filled out the FASFA and some scholarship information on his own so there was not much more that HFCN could do for him. I am satisfied with my results. I would still recommend anyone looking to sign up with this program to first do your research.

This is a scam program. Everything we have done as far as applications,and resources we found ourselves with no help from them . We are in the same boat than before we spent 2 grand for help and resources . That money could have went towards a college. Thanks for praying on the vulnerable that just want to send our kids to their dream college without having to sell their organs. We wanted guidance and help and instead more stress on trying to get a refund. After signing up they promise so much and then give us nothing. Can't reach anyone can't get a call back. Can't get a return email. Spoke with financial and she said speak with someone else who never calls back. What kind of establishment runs like this. We regret going to the dang meeting . It was like getting scammed into a time share.

However, she has not reached out via email or chat to her coaches since the end of December when you enrolled in the program. Neither she nor you have scheduled a call with the coaches even though its readily available and we are eager to have a conversation about her college future. Finally, we have no record of you attempting to contact us via chat or email even though you registered your account.We have sent another message to your student in hopes that we can connect with her.About your accusation of being a scam, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.
