    This business is a scam. I have tried multiple times to login to my account which for some reason the login credentials that I used to create the account no longer works. Ive requested multiple times to have a password reset link sent but it never comes. Apparently theres only one employee for the company that responds to inquiries ****** S which he screenshots the login and password reset screen. Multiple people have came to the BBB with the same complaint of being scammed, trying to cancel or have cancelled and still being charged and nothing is being done to this fraudulent company.

    Hi Jasmine,

    For a company to be BBB accredited, it must meet all the requirements set by the Better Business Bureau, which ensures high standards for trustworthiness and ethical practices. Therefore, a company cannot be considered a "scam" if it has achieved and maintained BBB accreditation. eCredable has been an accredited BBB Company since May 2012 with an A Rating from the BBB. Therefore, eCredable has been evaluated and approved by the BBB, thereby meeting the BBBs Requirements for BBB Accreditation and Code of Advertising. To receive this accreditation, eCredable must adhere to the BBB's strict criteria, which include the following standards:

    have resolved any BBB customer complaints;
    have no governmental ethics violations;
    follow all advertising laws and BBB advertising best practices;
    follow through on all contracts and promises made in business practice and advertising;
    the website provides and follows a privacy policy and uses secure financial transactions (if applicable)

    Hi *****,

    Thank you for contacting eCredable through the BBB regarding your concerns.

    eCredable underwent a strict approval process with TransUnion to authorize utility accounts to be reported on consumer credit reports. This is in an effort to address your concerns about eCredable's position on this matter.

    Our investigation confirms that you were immediately issued a refund for the duplicate subscription that was accidentally created during the signup process. The duplicate subscription, along with the $9.95 fee, was processed on August 21, 2024, at 3:48 PM EST. The $9.95 was reversed to your account ending in 7793. You won't see a credit on your account because the original authorization will simply disappear after a few days. There will be no payment or refund, and it will seem as if the transaction never occurred. Your bank can confirm this for you. Depending on your card issuer, the original charge should be removed from your pending charges by August 28, 2024.

    Regarding LiveChat, our records show that you entered the LiveChat queue and were awaiting an eCredable Care agent. However, you ended the chat within a minute. We attempted to restart the chat while you were still on the website, but unfortunately, you did not accept the invitation. A ticket was then created immediately, and an eCredable Care agent responded to you yesterday at 03:50 PM EST.

    At your request, we have now canceled your eCredable Lift subscription and issued a full refund of $9.95. Please allow 2-3 business days from the initiation date for the funds to appear in your account. Occasionally, refunds may take longer depending on when the funds clear your bank.

    If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact eCredable Care.

    Hi Sadia,

    Your eCredable profile has been deactivated. Regarding your request to delete your records, eCredable operates under federal laws and regulations of the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (****), the Fair and Accurate Credit Reporting Act (FACTA), and the Gramm ***** ****** Act (GLBA). The **** imposes specific duties on entities that furnish information to credit reporting agencies and establishes procedures for enforcing those duties. The **** also expressly preempts the laws of any state that create requirements "relating to the responsibilities of persons who furnish information to consumer reporting agencies." As a ************* Furnisher, eCredable is obligated under federal law to retain certain consumer information to maintain compliance with the **** and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Any data that cannot be deleted is securely stored and cannot be accessed by third parties except as required by law.

    Additionally, the payment method you used during signup has been removed from our system and is no longer attached to your eCredable Lift subscription.

    I have been paying for a subscription that I no longer need and have tried canceling it myself via the instructions that ecredable provides but if you follow the steps there is no option to actually cancel your subscription. I have called but its a fake number that automatically hangs up after sketchy promo and have emailed but hes providing me links that do not work and the same steps thats provided in the faq that also do not work. After reading others reviews on BBB I fear they are going to retaliate and report false information to the bureaus of this complaint but Im literally out of options to get my subscription cancelled

    Dear **********************,

    Thank you for contacting eCredable through the BBB, where eCredable has been an accredited company for 12 years and has maintained an A RATING from the BBB. We have carefully looked into your concerns.

    Our findings show that you canceled your eCredable Business Lift subscription and submitted a reason for cancellation on 3/20/24. You also took advantage of the Free Month offer at the time of cancellation, which grants you access to your eCredable Business Lift account until 6/16/24.Furthermore, eCredable did not charge your card after your subscription was canceled. For your review, we have attached detailed records and logs of the actions you took in your eCredable profile to cancel your subscription.

    Upon further review of your conversations with eCredable Care, our team promptly responded to your inquiries. It confirmed your subscription was successfully canceled as per your request on the date mentioned above. Consequently, there is no active subscription remaining on your eCredable Business Lift profile that can be canceled. An eCredable Care agent provided you with this information several times. Should you require a copy of your transcripts for your records or to submit them to the BBB, please inform us.

    Regarding your concerns about reaching eCredable by phone, please note that our toll-free customer service number has been nationally registered for over 15 years.Throughout this period, no promotional offers have been linked to our customer service line. You may verify this information by calling *************.

    It is essential to note that eCredable has undergone a rigorous approval process with each of the business credit bureaus--D&B,Experian, Equifax, and Creditsafe.This authorization ensures we are approved to report tradelines on business credit reports. Therefore, the business credit bureaus would never permit eCredable to falsely advertise services that each business credit bureau does not approve. eCredable is periodically reviewed by the major business credit bureaus to ensure we are in compliance. Transparency is crucial to us, and we are committed to being completely open about our products and services.

    eCredable adheres to the comprehensive reporting standards and guidelines mandated by the major business credit bureaus and is obligated to report accurate information. Since you have canceled your eCredable Business Lift subscription, the business tradelines reported on your behalf will be closed in good standing on your business credit reports in accordance with participating business credit bureaus reporting requirements and guidelines.

    Since ************************** subscription was canceled upon his request, eCredable cannot take any further action to accommodate his demands. We request that the BBB investigate ************************** frivolous claims in this case and consider this complaint without merit.

    This company has an account open under MY NAME on my credit report. This company is listed as a Utility Provider for DTE Energies, however, as you can see on the images I shared it says this account hasn't had a payment made in over 9 months, which if it's DTE then that is untrue, because I pay my DTE directly on their website EVERY MONTH. This company is fraudulant and is lowering my credit score when I dont even know who they are or what services they provide. I have called the number listed for this company at least 15 times and left several messages and no one will return my phone call. I want this FRAUDULANT ACCOUNT removed from my credit report immediately!!! I have already disputed it and Transunion says their legit, then why won't they call me back and tell me how in the world I owe them money!? FAKES!!!!

    Dear *******,

    Thank you for reaching out to eCredable through the BBB. We appreciate your openness in sharing your feedback with us. It is invaluable as we use your feedback to make eCredable even better.

    eCredable underwent a?rigorous approval process with TransUnion to become a Data Furnisher authorized to report utility accounts on consumer credit reports. TransUnion would never permit eCredable to falsely advertise services that were not approved. Furthermore, eCredable operates under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (****), the Fair and Accurate Credit Reporting Act (FACTA), Gramm ***** ****** Act (GLBA), and other state consumer protection laws. As a ************* Furnisher, the **** imposes specific duties on entities that furnish information to credit reporting agencies and establishes procedures for enforcing those duties. eCredable is periodically reviewed by governing entities and TransUnion to ensure we are complying.

    eCredable is not permitted by TransUnion to report Utility and Telecom accounts as revolving accounts or installment loans. eCredable was approved by TransUnion to specifically report Utility and Telecom accounts as an Open Account. Therefore, you do not have a debt owed to eCredable.

    TransUnion categorizes accounts on your credit report as one of five Account Types:?
    1. Mortgage (e.g., Home Loan)
    2. Revolving (e.g., Credit Card)
    3. Installment (e.g., Personal Loan)
    4. Line of Credit (e.g., Home Equity Line of Credit)
    5. Open (e.g., Utility Account or Telecommunications)

    eCredable?only reports Open Accounts?as either Utility or *************************************************************************************************** Phone, ********************************* Landline

    Regarding the balance on your utility accounts, in order to reflect all the charges and payments made to your account over the course of a billing cycle (which is typically 30 days), eCredable is required only to report payment information that is posted on your current statement. eCredable is not permitted by TransUnion to report payments made after the current billing cycle is closed. This is defined in the reporting requirements dictated to us by TransUnion. Credit utilization rates are based solely on revolving credit essentially, credit cards and some lines of credit. Credit utilization rates do not include open utility and/or telecom accounts, installment loans, mortgages, or auto loans.?The balance on your DTE and We Energies accounts are not?factored into your credit utilization.?

    Regarding the screenshots you provided from your Credit Karma account - Credit Karma is not a credit bureau. They purchase your credit report from TransUnion and provide an interpreted view of your credit report detail.?If you are using a credit monitoring service (e.g., Credit Karma), and see your utility accounts categorized as a loan, the credit monitoring service you are using is mis categorizing these accounts. Please contact Credit Karma for more information.

    You are an ********** (****) customer and enrolled in the **** Utility Reporting *********************** facilitated by eCredable. The accounts appearing in your TransUnion credit report are your DTE Energy and We Energies accounts, which you opted to link at ****, thereby granting authorization to report these accounts on our Transunion credit report. Your utility accounts will be listed on your TransUnion credit report as follows:?

    Open Utility Account (Type 92)
    ECREDABLE.COM, LLC 91002990****
    Original Creditor: ?DTE Energy

    Open Utility Account (Type 92)
    ECREDABLE.COM, LLC **************
    Original Creditor: We Energies

    There are four ways you can confirm the information reported on your TransUnion credit report:?

    1. Match the utility account numbers on your Transunion credit report to the account number found on your utility account statements.?
    2. Contact **** directly at 877-875-**** (****) and ask the **** representative to locate the utility account on your TransUnion credit report and verify the account type and original creditor.
    3. Contact TransUnion directly at ************** and ask the TransUnion representative to locate the utility accounts on your TransUnion credit report and verify the account type and original creditor.
    4. You can get a free copy of your official TransUnion credit report to confirm your utility accounts have been added to your TransUnion credit report as an open utility account at AnnualCreditReport.com. This site is the major credit bureaus' official website to fill orders for the free annual credit report you are entitled to under federal law. To get a free copy of your credit report from TransUnion - visit www.AnnualCreditReport.com.

    Lastly, since you opted-out and canceled your **** Utility Reporting *********************** at ****, the utility accounts were closed on your TransUnion credit report with a $0 balance and in good standing on 10/12/2023, according to TransUnion's reporting requirements.

    Please tell us if you have questions or can contact **** and TransUnion to verify this information.

    Dear ****,

    Our records show you signed up for eCredable Lift on 5/5/2023 to report your utility accounts on your TransUnion credit report and raise your FICO Score 9 and VantageScore 3.0 from TransUnion.

    eCredable does NOT report Utility and Telecom accounts to TransUnion as revolving accounts or installment loans. eCredable was approved by TransUnion to strictly report Utility and Telecom accounts as an "Open Account." TransUnion categorizes accounts on your credit report as one of five Account Types:

    1. Mortgage (e.g., Home Loan)
    2. Revolving (e.g., Credit Card)
    3. Installment (e.g., Personal Loan)
    4. Line of Credit (e.g., Home Equity Line of Credit)
    5. Open (e.g., Utility Account or Telecommunications)

    eCredable only reports Open Accounts as either Utility or Telecommunication:
    1. *************************************** Telecommunications ****** Phone, ********************************* Landline

Your ******* Wireless account will be listed on your TransUnion credit report as follows:

    ************ Account (Type 4D)
    *********************************************
    Original Creditor: ******* Wireless

    To ensure this, we also encourage you to confirm your utility account is listed on your TransUnion credit report as an open utility account in three ways.

    1. Match the utility account numbers on your TransUnion credit report to the account numbers found on your statements.

    2. Contact TransUnion directly at ************** and ask the TransUnion representative to locate the utility accounts on your TransUnion credit report and verify the account type and original creditor.

I have contacted them by both phone and email and so have numerous others by proof all over the internet that they are frauding the consumers. One example of email below. Complaint: 21068777

    I am rejecting this response because: ECredable has been cancelled by me. I had them refund my money months ago. However, they are now reporting on my credit report wrong information. That I am not a paying them. They refunded due to a previous BBB complaint. They still do not have accurate information. They are not only reporting that I am not paying them, but they are also reporting that I am not paying a credit card that I have paid up to date, by TD Card by Target. I also have not paid any of those companies $1.00 so Ecrediable has reported all false information. So all of those credit card companies can be removed that ECrediable has reported as that is false information. I have told Ecredible by email I did not want their services and they still are reporting revolving services on my credit report. I ask immediately the false information be removed. I can send all my ecrediable emails if needed.

    Sincerely,

    This is not a good site there is no way to get in touch with the owners. I lost $200 on this site. I signed up and then cancelled the service the same day and there is no way to get in touch with them for a refund. The site says cancelling your service will leave your account active for the months you have paid for but this is not the case with the yearly plan. The site has a chatbot that answers questions but no actual person. No phone number either.
