I paid Matthew ********************** $12281.25 to represent me in a divorce case that he allowed to drag for over 2 years. He resigned my case almost a year ago with no results , I had to find another attorney. The new attorney was able to get my divorce case solved in less than 6 months at a cost of $8500.00. On Oct this year I received a bill from Mr. ********************** for $48132.50. It was the *** bill I received from him since he resigned over a year ago. I reached out to him in email to inform him of this, he said he sent me a bill in Jan of this year that I never received. I requested a detail of the bill and he sent me a bill dated Jan 15, 2024 with the same balance. The law firm that took over my case after he resigned was a fairly large firm and you would think it would cost me more but it ends up being less money because most of their hours bill and most of the work done was done by paralegals, administrators and associate attorney at a rate of $170 an hour with a few hours at $225 per hour . You see the disparity here Mr. ********************** charged me $325.00 per hour and he said that was a discounted rate but he never charged less though I asked him if he had office help and he would reply yes . Having paid him more than $12281.25 over the course of him representing me and I will not get into the details because it is money that has been paid , he says I have a balance of $38132.50 . I do not agree with that as he never produced any results and I do not owe him anything at this point

I am rejecting this response because: I do not owe this gonif anything put chutzpah , like he said

    My case briefly,

I was married to a female from the country of ********, who turned out to be a professional con artist . she defrauded me out of almost $300,000 . I discovered that she was never divorced from her first ******* that she married in her native country of ******** so I began my search for an attorney who would represent me in a divorce or annulment case..
I met with attorney********************** ********************** in the conference room of his office building to discuss my case with him. he explained to me that he had a depth of  knowledge in family court and divorce.  in my particular case he said his wife is also from ******** and he  can use her insight and that she also was a translator and that would be helpful for me in my case. This was misleading to me because after he resigned my case, I met with the lawyer who replaced him, and I discussed with her how my case has been going in the court system and the fees that I was being charged and she opened her laptop and pulled up Mr. ********************** **********************  on ****** and she pointed out to me that he says on his website he specializes in criminal defense, such as DUI and drug laws and that he does not say anything about him being qualified to be a divorce lawyer that wasnt his specialty and he resigned my case because he realized he was in over his head.
Attorney ********************** ********************** resigned my case in November 2023 and for one year. I did not hear anything from him until October 2024 he sent me a bill asking for a payment of $48,000. This is erroneous billing because attorney ********************** Crow is a one-man show who sits in the office by himself thinking up of billing hours and billing ***** that are exuberant claiming is giving a discount and chips and balances with him. He doesnt have an administrator he doesnt have a paralegal. He is doing his own billing as he pleases . I was able to get my divorce using the services of the law firm and its a big law firm That replaced him less than six months and it cost me $8700 attorney Crow was paid over $20,000. I didnt produce any results and hes asking me to pay him another $48,000 when I was able to resolve my divorce in six months For $8700. .. his billing was erroneous.
Erroneous billing  Attorney, ********************** Crow did not sign a  contract with me to detail his services and billing structure,  Therefore he was milking me all of his hours. The law firm that replaced him, signed a contract with me. It had all the details of their services and the cost of their services and further more they explain to me that almost all of his hours built to me, could have been done by a paralegal or an associate lawyer at the cost of less than $200 per hour, so he was dishonestly billing me, and he would put zeros in front of phone calls and emails that he was billing me for saying that I didnt charge you for his phone call. I didnt charge you for this email.
Poor representation attorney, ********************** Crow conducted a deposition on the ******* of my ex and charge me an exuberant amount for that deposition and he did not call him as a witness when we had our hearing.
I traveled to ******** and paid for the services of a lawfirm. , I paid in excess of $5000 for these lawyers to do all of the research , gather all of the documents , all of the history of my ex-wife marriage certificate conducted multiple conference calls with a attorney ********************** ********************** that he charged me for to explain to him how he will be able to better support my case when the time comes and they were willing to testify on my behalf and he never called them to testify on my behalf when we had our hearing this is absolutely negligent and poor representation. One attorney who had a conference call with Attorney ********************** told me after the call was over that she did not believe he was able to comprehend what was being explained to him that she thought it all went over his head and she cautioned me that in her opinion, he was not qualified to represent me in my divorce case, or in my annulment case.
Attorney, ********************** ********************** was misleading when he told me that he would only accept cash or checks for payment. I found that to be strange seeing that he has been in practice for almost 30 years. I discovered that on his website, he clearly states that he accepts credit card and debit card payments.
He called me a SON OF B**** He was overly aggressive and hostile when we lost our motion for judgment due to him being reactive rather than proactive and I was texting him regarding that and he kept telling me he will dig into my file and get back with me and I told him he should have been digging into my file before hand Called me and I answered the phone. The first words out of his mouth were what did you say you said a bitch
Attorney Matt ********************** did not give me proper attention and proper presentation. My case went in ***** for months and I was emailing and texting him asking for updates , that  annoyed him and he would become agitated over the phone and when I called he would answer and say what what . This was evident when the clerk of the court wrote a letter saying they just came across my case that somehow it fell through the cracks and that they can see it hasnt had a 60 day hearing in nine months and that they would put my case on the calendar. Imagine the negligence were all he had to do is email the court.
Opposing council sent a proposal to settle to attorney ********************** **********************. He failed to notify me of that proposal until almost a year later when opposing council sent another email to him saying that his initial proposal was about to expire that is when attorney, ********************** Crow casually informed me of this.
I would ask attorney ********************** ********************** to communicate with the court when the case was in limbo for over seven months and he would not do that. He would actually ignore my emails . opposing counsel sent emails to the court asking for judgment to be rendered to them . when I pointed that out to **********************, his answer was this is not my style and shortly after court granted the motion for judgment to opposing counsel.
The lawyer from the law firm that I hired in ******** was appalled by the performance, qualifications and representation of ********************** Crow that she wrote a letter describing how awful his service were . She asked me to share that with him and prior to now I did not , but I will now The letter is attached. It speaks for itself.
I went to ********************** ********************** seeking his services to get me justice from a female that literally defrauded me out of $250,000 only to find myself in the claws of a lawyer who in actuality is worse than her I am very sure Im not the only victim of this man there are many victims and I will be seeking them out. He demonstrated very clearly that he did not have the qualifications to represent me in a divorce case because he is a criminal lawyer, and he has demonstrated throughout the case, his lack of attention to my case the fact that he was never proactive he was always reactive.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******
