On October 29, 2024 PatientCo sent me an email with subject "You have a bill due soon from Medicine." They present themselves as an affiliate of a hospital network I use, but my hospital network bills through ****/******* where I have no outstanding balances. The email includes threatening yet vague language typical of a scam "You have a bill due soon from Medicine. Please log on to your PatientWallet and make a payment before your account becomes past due."

I had cardiac surgery 6 months ago and all bills were processed through insurance and paid in full. This week Patientco sent a bill for the surgery but performed by a PA. This should be illegal as this is pure extortion.

I agree with every one-star rating posted here! I cannot believe the horrible service from this company! They are trying very hard to over-charge me, and I've been in conversation with them for over a week about the situation. Today they sent me a billing statement from 2019! Are you kidding me? Also, the amount they say I owe today is more than the amount they told me yesterday! This is the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. With all of the complaints listed here, what can be done about this? You can't find a supervisor to communicate with, either. No wonder they aren't BBB Accredited. I'm going to contact the doctors that I use who also use Patientco and discuss my disgust and ask what can be done about Patientco and their horrible service!

This company has become the thirdparty billing agency and servicer of patient accounts for a major hospital in ********* **. Our access to our billing records is confusing and incomplete. We think there are possibly fraudulent patient ******** for medical treatments and services. Billing statements have no detailed line items about charges. There is no one onsite at the hospital to help us clarify the situation, only a general phone line leading to a phone tree of random customer service reps

****************Terrible service. Cannot talk to anyone. Want you the patients to clean up all their mistakes by you contacting your providers.1. I am being harassed by two of their entities from ********* hospital for a bill of $2993.74 which I have already paid and is on my **** card. They have told me they may send it to collections.2. I have four bills from four separate entities each for the exact same $66.30 and they expect me to clean this up. There is no way I can do this. IT IS THEIR JOB!

My cardiology group uses this company for billing. I have paid all bills online through the gopatientco web site. I recently got a notice to pay the balance for a doctor ****** visit. There are two groups using this site. Vascular surgery and Cardiologists. I paid the heart doc and then the web site showed I owed same amount after payment and receipt to both doctors. Upon further review a payment I made nearly 8 months ago shows still outstanding. I had a receipt for that payment and found I had paid an additional reduced payment. So now the bill is overpaid but not showing credited on their web site. My credit card shows the payments and I have receipts from Patientco. I tried to report this to patientco and let them know I believe there is an issue with their website. Basicly I got brushed off. I sent messages with attachments to show the payments and receipts. Nothing! When you try to call the number listed on the bill the operator is not there is the response. I reported to technical support and they claimed that HIPPA rules prevent them from looking into the issue. I am trying to address information their system generates on their website vs. what my credit card and patientco email receipts show. Now the bills online indicate this is third attempt to get paid. The doctor ******s say its all on patientco. They have a web site issue and either don't understand how to fix it or don't care. I am hoping they don't try my patience and send it to collections. I have invested four days in research and messages and nothing happens. This company should be shut down and investigated for fraud. I am sure there are other folks that *** have same issues and *** not realize it. I asked the doctors ******s if I can pay them directly and it can't be done. It has to be via Patientco. I have great credit and do not need a deceptive company with a broken process, wreck my credit rating. HELP!!! One star because you can't give zero.

Mt primary care provider's group joined a large local healthcare system that uses PatientCo as their third party billing service. Since that transition took place my account has been incorrectly debited several times. It does no good to call them as they defer to the provider and blame them for any inaccuracies citing "incorrect coding by the doctor's ******** They also like to duplicate insurance claims. Fortunately my carrier has caught all of those. I understand that mistakes happen, but on every office visit? That just seems far fetched. I am thoroughly documenting each instance of incorrect billing, filing inaccurate claims, failing to credit payments, etc. and will be prepared to vigorously defend my position should it become necessary.

************** have made numerous attempts to have Patientco remove an erroneous charge. I have not had the service or ever been to the physician listed. The doctor's ****** verified that I had never been a patient and had received no services from her ******. Also, she had not submitted any bill for this service for me. After many attempts to Patientco, and assurances it is an erroneous charge, I continue to receive bills. At this point, I feel that I am being harassed.

The first contact I had with Patientco was wrong. They sent me a bill that I paid months ago. I receive worldclass care from our local providers; why they would choose this ***** **** company is beyond me.

Patientco a sham. I had a payment plan scheduled with them for an ER visit a while back. My debit card was compromised while I was out of state visiting a friend and I had to wait to get a new card so I could not pay the bill the day it was scheduled for. They will not let me reschedule a payment plan or change payment method without contacting my medical insurance provider first. I cannot set up a new payment plan at all and because of that my medical bill is going to get sent to collections.
