I called Southern Comfort movers for a January 2023 move. They were EXCELLENT!!! I couldn't ask for better!!! They assessed all that had to be moved. They wrapped every piece of furniture and delicate pieces. they packed that truck very well and delivered everything with care! There were PLENTY of more local companies that I could have called for the second move this June 2023, but since I had a great experience with them in January, I called them again! You treat people well and they will treat you well. Very professional and very polite! I hope to not be moving again, but if I do have the need to move, I will call them again. What you have to remember is that you take a chance with anything in life. Sometimes there can be people in any job that *** be new employees or inexperienced person or persons in any job or business that you could have a negative experience with, but I know that my experience with these folks were very positive! I have moved too many times to wish to remember and did call a local company a few years back. My first experience and second experience was good, but my third experience with this particular local company was not a good experience at all! It was because of one of the guys in the crew. He had some kind of attitude and was constantly answering his phone, so that is what then prompted me to call Southern comfort to move me and I always check out the BBB for my selections and recommendations. I am greatly appreciative of BBB and Southern Comfort movers for their hard work! It is NOT an easy job!

Several yrs ago they moved us from ******* to ******, ******** was a good experience with no issues. So.....I called and contracted with **** for them to move us back home to ******* end of May, 2.5 mo ago. I have large heavy pieces, antiques & beautiful things. I trusted these guys because of the previous move. Omg! this move was a nightmare; so much so I wont even elaborate but to give some examples. Large, French Country elec fireplace was turned upside down - damages include insert not able to be turned on because it smells like wires burning. Multiple scrapes etc to picture frames, damage to antique oil painting from shrink wrap against the canvas! Cherished antique French writing desk with rubs and ABROKEN leg (their repairman came & picked it up over a month ago & cannot be reached, nor has he called or returned my desk- appraised at $1700!) Nor has **** returned my calls in the past week asking where it is!!! Extensive damage to a decorative trim on a French Antique Armoire, etc etc just heartbreaking.**** knew ******* furniture yet he sent one good employee with a second who was not well and 2 teenagers not worth a ****. The one guy that I had known from before- ***** is NOT at fault. He did his best with precious little help, and the result was total chaos. (Over tired, lack of tools, no flatbed dolly!, etc.) Im devastated that **** has not followed up when he personally came with **** to see the damages and wrote notes. I let some things go out of frustration. I cannot imagine why they take big jobs, overwork the good guys, over schedule and operate so carelessly and dont see that they are ruining their reputation. Greed. My move costs over 6K and Im Mad as ********** minutes away from a lawsuit. *******************************
