I paid $249.00 out of pocket for an ultrasound. I have video of the procedure and of the technician saying that I would get a copy of the images and a copy of her notes as well. Atlanta ultrasound called and asked did I know what they was seeing in ultrasound as it was unusual. I confided that I had drove to this location from ******* Va to get an ultrasound done in my grandfathers name ******** *******, because everyone was trying to cover up a surgical mistake that left piece of wood in my palm which resulted in it migrating to where it is seen on ultrasound. This is the 3rd ultrasound paid for out of pocket that shows a wooden foreign body. After I told the owner about why I came there and used my grandfathers name she said they would amend my report. I asked for the technicians report and was denied it. I had previously been told I would be able to get the technician report. Had I known they would not let me have all of my medical reports that I was promised before payment, I wouldnt had got images at their location. I have a video recording of the technician saying she most definitely found the foreign body sitting in exact location that I am able to point to. I would like the technician report that collaborates what she said on video.Business response

Dear BBB team,
We take patient concerns very seriously and strive to provide high-quality, transparent, and respectful service to everyone. In this case, the details provided in the complaint do not fully reflect the services or standards we uphold.
Radiologist Report and Service Provided: We clearly advertise that patients receive a comprehensive radiologist report, which was indeed provided to this individual. Our process includes images and a radiologists professional findings, in alignment with our advertising and service commitments.Misrepresentation: The individual openly admitted to scheduling and receiving services under a false name, complicating our ability to ensure continuity of care and follow-up. This misrepresentation undermines the trust necessary for accurate and professional medical service.
Request for Technicians Private Notes: The technician performs imaging and provides insights as part of a team approach, and the final interpretation is always issued by a radiologist, which was provided in this case. Private notes taken during the session are not part of our deliverable medical records, nor are they intended for release as part of standard practice in any imaging center.Unfounded Claims: The individual has repeatedly made medically impossible assertions, such as the presence of "wood floating inside his arteries." This person has also seen multiple providers who have each refuted this claim, as per his own admission. While we empathize with anyone experiencing health concerns, our service and staff cannot corroborate these unfounded claims.
Harassment and ************ Activity: Unfortunately, the individual has taken to social media to harass our business, even offering money to encourage others to join a lawsuit. Due to ***** privacy regulations, we cannot share this person's emails and harassing messages to our team. Our staff member even attempted to file a police report, but cannot do so without a threat. This person contacted her under several different account names. This behavior is not only inappropriate but undermines the integrity of our service and the professionalism we maintain with all patients.
We uphold a high standard of service and communication and are committed to patient satisfaction within the bounds of medical accuracy and professionalism. In this instance, we respectfully deny the claims of false advertising, as all advertised services were fulfilled and provided accurately. We take pride in supporting our patients with respect, care, and thorough communication, and will continue to prioritize these values.
Thank you for considering our response.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Atlanta ultrasound is being untruthful. I did try to contact ****** with Atlanta ultrasound only because the report and the phone conversation are in total contrast to one another. I am unable to upload the 9-minute video phone conversation in which I was told that something is definitely seen and that my report will be amended. I will post the 9;39 second phone conversation on my ******** page in which ****** admits something was visualized and that my report needed to be amended. Atlanta Ultrasound is being very untruthful, and I welcome the opportunity to face them in court if that is something they wish to pursue. I have a lot more i would like for the judge in a court of law to see .No weapon formed against me shall prosper. ***** ****** is my Lord and Savior. Atlanta Ultrasound may contact me at ************ if they chose to be civil.
Sincerely,

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify further details regarding this matter. At Atlanta Ultrasound, we prioritize transparent and professional service for all patients, and we maintain our commitment to accurate communication and ethical practices.
1. Referral Details: The document provided by the individual is not a referral for an ultrasound and was not issued to our facility. We performed the requested carotid artery ultrasound in good faith based on the patient's request and without a referral, as we offer self-pay options for patients who do not require insurance documentation. However, the exam this person had is not a neck ultrasound of the soft tissue. That is a different examination which was not requested by the person.
2. Radiologist Report and Imaging Findings: Our team conducted the exam according to professional standards, and the radiologist's report accurately reflected the findings. Our team follows strict protocols to ensure the accuracy of the radiologist's interpretation, and we cannot amend findings based on unverified claims.
3. Patient Communication: During a follow-up conversation, our staff clarified the results with the patient. Any misunderstanding about the report's findings and limitations should be discussed with a primary medical provider who can guide the patient on any necessary follow-up care.
4. Inappropriate Behavior and ************ Harassment: We are aware of the patients stated intention to publish recorded conversations and the ongoing harassment on social media, including attempts to solicit individuals for legal action. This behavior is highly inappropriate and not in alignment with respectful, professional communication standards.
5. Patient Communication: If the individual believes he has a recording substantiating his claims, we welcome him to provide this recording directly to us. If we find that the recording supports his claims, we will take appropriate action with our staff and consider his request. At this time, however, we have reviewed this matter thoroughly with our team, and we have not found any grounds to take disciplinary action towards our staff or alter our position.Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: ********* with Atlanta ultrasound emailed and asked me to send the phone conversation to her. I informed Ms ******** that the file was too large. In the email Ms. ******** sent to me she acknowledged there may be a piece of wood in my neck, which is contradictory to-the image report in its entirety. If Atlanta ultrasound has nothing to hide then they should have no problem giving me the notes made by the technician that did the ultrasound. The technician was able to find the piece of wood sitting in my neck. Why are notes made if they arent to be shared to give more information to what is going on, especially when ****** was able to take a really good picture of what I was able to point to. Atlanta Ultrasound doesnt have any confidence in the technician, in which the employ then how can they guarantee that the ultrasound was administered correctly in this case. In the 9 minute and 39 second recorded phone conversation ********* says she needs more information as to what ****** had seen on ultrasound, and that they had been on the phone all day with the radiologist trying to figure out what it was they were seeing. At that time I told *********, and ****** what they had actually visualized was a piece of wood that had migrated from my right palm to where it is sitting in the front of my neck and I had felt it migrate every inch of the way . When I told ********* that I had used my grandfathers name, because a lot of people have been trying to cover up a surgical mistake that allowed the wood to migrate from my palm to my neck over a ********************************************************* the recorded conversation ****** who was the ultrasound technician told me to not worry that the report would be fixed. I do not take pleasure in this report, but my life has been severely affected by the large piece of wood that started off in my palm and slowly and painfully made its way to my neck over a 13 year period. A lot of people are trying to cover a surgical mistake. In my opinion Atlanta Ultrasound is committing fraud. I hate to say it , but the phone calls alone show that they are committing fraud. Also the images provided to me are not the images that ****** had taken. In the video the technician said she thought it was an artifact at first, and she got a really good picture of it, and that she marked it as it is a right decent size, but those images were not provided to me. I think this should be passed on to the *************************
Sincerely,
******* ******
