Thank you for reaching out to us about the problem that you've had with us, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We obtain our information through software that searches publicly available information, which can sometimes lead to us having old or otherwise incorrect contact information. Yesterday I received a picture postcard of my home with myself and my dog standing in the driveway. This is a business asking if I want to sell my house. (Unsolicited). I feel that this is an invasion of my privacy, and I called the business and told them so. The man I talked to gave the excuse that “it was probably a picture they found on the internet “. I told him how displeased I was and didn’t want any solicitation from him or anyone else. He stated that he would “remove it from their system”. I don’t know where the picture came from but I don’t appreciate photos of my property, and especially myself and my dog or my grandchildren taken and posted. This picture appears to have been taken around Halloween, because the decorations appear in the yard. I feel this is harassment and definitely an invasion of my privacy.

    Good morning,

On behalf of Myers House Buyers, we apologize for the inconvenience.

For your peace of mind and informational purposes, I would like to inform you that we do not personally take pictures of homes. The photos that we use for our postcards are generated from ****** ****** ******* *** **** **** However, we do understand that this can seem like an invasion of privacy without knowing this information.

We have taken action and removed your address from our system so that you are not bothered anymore.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and I hope you have a blessed day.

    Thank you,

    Austin, Myers House Buyers

    Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:  There are many photos of property “on the internet” as you say.  It is totally irresponsible to use a picture containing photo of the owner and other persons in the picture.  I do not appreciate having my picture in an advertisement for your business. Because of the line of work that I do, I do not advertise where I live.  I am a ****** ****** ********** and some of my current and former ******* **** ******.  This is a safety issue for me and I do not appreciate having my picture shared in an advertisement for you to make money, while potentially putting my safety at jeopardy. I know you said you will “take it down “ but the potential risk and damage to my privacy has already been done.  It seems that making money for you is paramount, while potentially putting others in jeopardy.
    Sincerely,
    ***** ******
