********* I purchased a car through Augusta motors and the day I got the car to my house, the engine started to smoke immediately and over heated horribly. They had the car towed and the car was thought to be fixed, but the shop they took the car ended up putting a v8 radiator and radiator hose on my v6 and duct taping the hose. I asked for them to not take the car back after that. Later my batter went out in my key fob, they came and took my car and when I came to make a payment they said I had a side note balance of $826 and then concluded they took my car back to the shop to be worked on without getting my approval of doing such and I haven’t received a receipt or any proof of work done to that car, the car still over heats and they said they took it to the ***** dealership to get a new engine replaced in the car, my car is starting to overheat again so I called all the ***** dealerships within a 100 like radius to see what was done but my VIN number doesn’t show in the system. I called the dealership I got my car from and said they took it back to ******* on ****** highway but they said that they weren’t going to work on my car because it was in the 30 day warranty window that o didn’t need to pay anything because they couldn’t properly fix the car and now Augusta Motors is making me pay $2500 on the engine that was taken to the shop that I was still within the 30 day warranty window for but they told me I’m paying it because the car went to *****. One desk clerk told me I have $1500 left to pay and the next day, another desk clerk says I have $2000 left to pay. I still have no receipts and they said they had to get the girl who is bilingual to get it but she has yet to get it and I don’t where the money is going towards at this point because I was told numerous times because the car was taken to ***** that’s why I have a side balance but being the car was still under ******* ware of service, there shouldn’t be any side balance.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I’m fully aware that there as no 30 day warranty through the dealership but was told that with the car being taken to a mechanic that it was under their warranty and due to the car was being worked on over there and it was issued to me that they did not want to pay for the labor so Augusta Motors has told me that my car was taken to the ***** dealership for an engine replacement and that’s where the $2300 or $2500 came from but with the car never had gone to the ***** dealership, the car was still within the mechanic warranty.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ******

We provided all the information that was asked of us in good faith proving there was never any warranties expressed or implied.

Just about an hour ago the customer has surrendered her vehicle in good working order. There is nothing wrong with the engine. We accepted it as a voluntary repossession.
