Paid $856.07 on 12/1/22 for a Revv D20 amplifier from Megatone Music via Reverb.com website that was received damaged on 12/5/22 (pictures of damage attached). *Please note that this amplifier is less than 10lbs and any impact can have a serious effect on the internal components. They are not made to withstand impact*I followed up immediately and directly with the seller via onsite message including multiple pictures of the damaged item. My request for a refund was immediately denied by the seller. During that communication, the seller admitted that the item was damaged (screen prints of dialogue attached). I then escalated this issue through Reverb dispute channels without resolution. I have also attached a screen print of Reverb's condition standards which negate a no return policy if the item doesn't match stated condition on their site. This damaged item clearly doesn't match the "excellent" condition category as stated by Megatone Music so therefore qualifies as a legitimate return item. The pictures and dialogue with the seller both support that fact. In sum, the damage is documented in pictures, admitted to by the seller in writing, and negates the no return policy as clearly stated in ******'s policy. Please see all attached supporting documentation.

We marked this amp down from $999.00 to $775.00. The amp is not damaged and in fact is made that way. The pictures I attached are the photos used for the listing on Reverb. The photos show the same condition the customer is trying to complain as damage. The reason Reverb will not side with the customer is because the pictures are no different than the pictures I provided in the listing. The customer clearly doesn't like the amp and is trying to make an excuse so he can return the amp at my expense. If the customer had just looked at the photos provided in the listing there would be no issue. On top of that....our policy states that there is no return on items that are used and no return on items we have to discount in order for the customer to buy.

I am rejecting this response because: 1. The amp side panels are in fact bent. The panels on new Revv D20 amps are not bent.  2. The owner admitted the damage in his correspondence as I noted in attached screen prints in original complaint. He made conflicting statements, even responding that it's bent because of something I did. The inconsistency of his statements is telling. 3. I want to return the amp because it's damaged and I do not trust that the internal components will stand up given the impact it took. Given it's condition being less than "excellent" as erroneously listed I question the seller's credibility.  4. ****** has a vested interest in placating the seller based on the income he generates. 5. I actually love the amp and bought it for a reason after much due diligence. I planned to use it right away but instead find myself disappointed,  inconvenienced, and  spending an inordinate amount of time on this subject. I planned to replace it with the exact same model (undamaged) from a credible seller once refunded. If it's a great deal as the seller describes, he should have no problem finding another buyer.

Please refer to my initial complaint and attachments as necessary.

The panels are bent to fit over the amp. That's the way it's made. The photos I took and displayed in the listing show this. This was a no return sale and therefore there will be no refund. Study the photos of the equipment you buy next time.

    Complaint: 18536747

I am rejecting this response because: Your no return policy on this specific damaged item comes with caveat which I've included as an attachment in the original complaint. Additionally, your aforementioned  admission (also included in the original complaint) negates that claim. Please review more thoroughly.

    Better Business Bureau:

    Hi ******,

Unfortunately, the seller has repeatedly made it clear that they have no interest in resolving the complaint in any form or fashion, so in the interest of time I declined mediation as I don't feel like he will agree to it. However, if the seller agrees to mediation, I would be open to that.

would like to reject the offer of Mediation for complaint ID ********.

    Regards,
