On March 21, 2022, I emailed EMC Home's warranty department with a list of items to be addressed before our new home warranty expired on April 13, 2022. The department contacted me, set up a date to have someone come to the house to inspect the line items, but the supervisor canceled on more than one occasion, stating the gas prices were too high and because there was not another job in the area, he could not make it. I then game him a week's span of time that I would be off of work and at home everyday, so my schedule was made available for someone to come any of those days to address the issues. Again, a meeting did not happen. I sent additional messages to set up another time for him to come to the house. No response or delayed responses, resulted in time running up, and the company now saying that the items on the list are my responsibility as the homeowner. One of the items on the list is for a kitchen window, which was damaged and discussed at the original walk through inspection before closing last year. The community superintendent was reminded on multiple occasions that the window had not been fixed. The list was sent before the warranty was expired, communications were sent with intention of having EMC's representative come address the issues, but because of their inflexible schedule, the items did not get addressed or fixed. We did have a date set for someone to address a single item, a nail pop in the flooring, but because of a work emergency, we were not able to accommodate that contractor. Again, I stated to the warranty department that I work during the day, and was not able to be available until after 3:30, which is still within hours that should fall within any contractor's daily schedule. The company has contractors in and out of our community daily continuing the build of other homes in the neighborhood. There is no excuse for them not meeting, addressing, discussing, and fixing the line items.
