I bought a vehicle two weeks ago at 2007 ****** Highlander and the brake pads fell off two days after buying it and I almost went through a red light and died after dropping my son off at daycare. I had it fixed on my own and then a couple days later, there was noises going on with my car and I was referred to **** at Canton used cars. Hes a mechanic who told me I needed a mid shaft bar replacement. He assured me that I would be safe to drive my car until Monday and I wouldnt end up stranded with my kids on the side of the road but on the way home from church today , my big chef exploded and my exhaust fell out the bottom of the vehicle and I was stranded on the side of the highway with oil leaking everywhere I had to pay for a tow truck to come get the car and for a ride for me and my 10 month old son to get home safely I had to sit there with my foot on the break because the emergency break wouldnt even work the car cap rolling backwards This is two times Ive almost lost my life. Ive asked if I can return the car and get my money back or something can be done and **** has offered to pay for the parts to get the mid shaft replaced but I still had to pay 170 for labor cost and that was supposed to happen tomorrow But all this happened today and I ended up paying 150 for a tow truck to come get the vehicle because it is in operable. Ive taken it to multiple shops, and been told that it should not even be on the road or sold in the first place because it is so rusted up that it cant even be worked on by any auto shops in town No one will fix it. I was assured that I would be safe to drive this vehicle and almost died today with my son in the car the tow truck guy told me I was lucky it didnt explode and catch on fire with the looks of what was going on. Ive taken pictures of everything and I plan to speak to **** tomorrow about this issue and Im going to request my $4000 back , or we can go to small claims court and I will post all the pictures.
