I paid for a breast reduction with Dr. ******************** 05/23. Surgery date was 6/8/23. Dr. ******************** passed May, 23. I was told the new **** ******************** would be completing the surgery. I met with him on 6/8/23, & discussed the breast size desired, a small C. He reviewed my pics.& me & could easily complete the reduction, as he had completed a complex surgery the previous week. I was assured by the practitioner and ************ that Dr. he was more than competent, & Dr. ******************** thought highly of his work. After the surgery was completed,I went back for a few follow up appointments, where I expressed that my breast size was not what I asked/paid for and my right breast was still slightly larger than the left. I was informed that there was swelling and allow time. I was then assured by ************ that he would do a revision for corrections, because I was not satisfied. ************ resigned the next ********* was told not to worry & the new surgeon would do the revision. I eventually met the new ************ will not do a revision. Im stuck with breast large/ lop sided breast. I was put in contact with a person(****************************** ******** Mediation)who was supposed to be the office manager, who was actually a legal mediator/paralegal, which was never stated to me). This was very **************************** lied & kept stating that everything would be resolved. We discussed refund/resolution for months. She stated to have a proposal for me in Dec/23. Due to holidays,Jan/24, I was told that they were not refunding the money or doing the ************** cancelled my follow up appt. They never intended to make it right. I never knew that she was legal & she sat in on my appt w/o my consent or knowledge, Violating my privacy, denying me the right to counsel. I would never speak with legal without having legal rep. for *************** was informed that I never would have spoken to her knowing that she was legal. I also have a recording of the deception.

******************** received surgical care in 2023 for which she was dissatisfied. Risks for all surgeries, including dissatisfaction, were discussed and acknowledged by ********************, and she signed consents indicating that she accepted all risks associated with surgery and all financial responsibility for her surgery. At no time did she speak with a legal representative of our firm, nor was she ever denied legal representation; ***************************** spoke with her in the capacity of practice coordinator and accounts payable. After expressing her dissatisfaction post-surgery, ******************** disputed her credit card charge on CareCredit, to which we responded in detail. The dispute was found in our favor. However, our concern is that every patient is satisfied; on further discussion with ******************** by the owner of the business, ******* Meadows, it was agreed that a partial refund would be forwarded for compassionate reasons. ******************** was sent a letter on February 6, 2024 (attached) indicating resolution of this matter with a refund of $3,600.00. ******************** has accepted this resolution and settlement and has claimed her check in that amount. The amount of $3,600.00 represents a full and final refund and we consider this matter closed to the satisfaction of both parties.

I paid $7295.00 for an abdominoplasty and VASER Lipo in March 2023 with a surgery date of 8-2-23. Unfortunately, Dr. ********************* my surgeon, died in a plane crash on 5-8-23. After 3 weeks I still didn't hear from his office and they just automatically transferred me to another surgeon without asking me. I spoke to ********************* on 5-25-23 at 11:12 a.m. and told her I wanted a refund for my surgery as this was not a possibility anymore due to Dr. ********************* death. She said it would take 60 days to get my money back and it would be by check even though I paid by credit card. I am still waiting for my refund and they are not responding to my e-mails. 60 days will be 7/24/23. Could you please help me in getting my refund? Thank you!

We confirm that our clients procedure was canceled on May 25, 2023. The client received verbal confirmation of this cancelation on May 25, 2023, and email confirmation on May 26, 2023, as indicated in email copies provided to the BBB by the client. The client was advised that our policy is to refund by check only and it could take up to sixty (60) days to process the refund; she acknowledges this in her email to our office on July 12, 2023, at 8:06 am. This was again confirmed by our office that a refund would be given by July 24, 2023. However, rather than wait for the refund by check, the client chose to dispute the credit card charge at the advice of her bank on June 6, 2023, to receive the refund through a chargeback. The chargeback process takes our funds and holds them in escrow until the chargeback dispute is resolved; generally, this process can take up to 75 days, and is in the banks best interests to advise as it gives them the use of the funds for that time period. As the client chose to do a credit card chargeback to receive her refund directly to her card, as acknowledged in her email on July 18, 2023, at 6:31 pm, we cannot refund her by check as the funds are already out of our account. We did not dispute the chargeback, so she will receive her refund directly to her credit card as she desired. This process is now through a third-party (her bank/credit card company) and is beyond our control to expedite.

This has been going on for over 6 weeks and not until I filed a complaint with the BBB did I receive any communication from Meadows Surgical Arts.   My credit card company said that they are trying to get a hold of Meadows Surgical Arts but hasn't been able to.   They also said that they need confirmation I did not receive the refund from Meadows Surgical Arts.   This is holding everything up.
