    *** **** had surgery at Piedmont Rockdale September 6,2022.  We were informed he would have to be hospitalized.  At admission, we paid the copays for pre-op.  We are informed of what the co pays  for doctors’ visits, hospital admission etc. We were surprised to receive a bill for $1,525.71. This came as such a surprise because at no time where we informed there would be this charge.  We were informed that this was because we got a private room and this hospital has no semi-private rooms.  Had we known this and had we been given a choice, we would have chosen a different Hospital.  Also, if the only rooms available are private rooms, there should be no additional charge.  The total for the semi-private room as a total of $1.525.71.  The hospital was contacted to no avail.  Hospital staff say someone at the hospital should have informed us of this but we were not so informed and there is no documentation that this discussion occurred. ********* ****** ** ******* ** *** **** ** ******* ***** ****.

    I filed a grievance due to the incident that occurred around the time of November 18, 2021. I was experiencing shortness of breath and came to Piedmont Rockdale hospital for medical treatment to find out why I was suffering from shortness of breath. I made several visits to the ER seeking help and was sent back home with no real results for why he was having shortness of breath. Made multiply visits thinking someone would figure out how to diagnosis his shortness of breath issues. Little did he know that his cry for help would turn out to be a betrayal of trust in the medical system. Like many Covid cases in the last 2 years many of our family and friends has gone to the emergency room and sent home only to loss their lives. I would like to make a complaint about a nurse name ****** who was very respectful to my wife when she call to find out what was going on with me. Who rudely hang up on her when she had more questions about out go of my medical visit. Let me say they took upon themself to hold me against my will and transport me to another facility. A facility known for abusive treatment to past patients. Therefore creating a bill of $198.00 and EMS bill $2,4000. My spouse address this in an complaint and I strongly feel Piedmont is responsible for the above cost . I am now disputing these charges with Lakeview & EMS . My spouse reached out to the hospital to make an complaint . No one never called and she received a letter from a ******* ******** resolving nothing. Left a message on her voice mail to call with the Corporate office contact on 4/3/22 with no response back.
