Islas Concrete Masonry, LLC poured a new walkway and concrete driveway in February of 2024. I contacted ********* by text on April 14, 2024 to discuss chips in the walkway and a crack that went across the middle of the walkway that leads to the house. After several texts the contractor came out on June 24, 2024. He looked at the crack in the walkway and admitted that an expansion joint should have been added in that area. This would have prevented the cracking. The contractor said he would come back after the 4th of July to fix the issue. I said that would be great becuase the old walkway wasnt cracking in that area so this looks pretty bad! I waited until July 12th and circled back to the contractor. He said that life got in the way and he's behind on his schedule. I replied and said that we need a firm date as to when he can fix the issue. The contractor was not able to do so which is why I'm filing this complaint. It's been three months since originally contacting *********. His excuses have been a variety of things and he won't commit to when he can return to remedy the problem.

to whom this may concern. In February I Francisco ********************** Manager of Islas Concrete Masonry LLC. and ******************** agreed to have his driveway and walkway replaced. it was thoroughly replaced. on the written estimate agreement sheet, it states that I am responsible for any warranty work on cracks or displacement after 1/4" of an inch or larger. The small crack on the sidewalk has yet to surpass that diameter making the warranty non-effective. But because our main focus is the customer and ******************** being such an amazing customer, I have agreed to repair the hairline crack, the reason this complaint was submitted was because he disagreed with the date, I provided to make the repair I have all the intention to repair the sidewalk and will do so to my fullest professional ability. i hope this complaint is reviewed and resolved with positive results for both ******************** and Islas Concrete Masonry LLC, as the repair with be made professionally and thoroughly in the coming days.
